The 2024 #NATOSummit has officially come to an end. With the declaration, NATO Allies took significant steps to enhance support for Ukraine, strengthen NATO's deterrence and defense, and deepen partnerships with countries in the Indo-Pacific region. The Norwegian delegation included Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, and Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram. Together, they demonstrated Norway's commitment to securing peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area. Norway is strengthening all branches of its armed forces and investing heavily in its industrial base. In addition to the official meetings, Prime Minister Støre participated in several bilateral discussions, and announced enhanced air defense support for Ukraine. Foreign Minister Eide met with Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), as well as the Foreign Ministers of the 8 Nordic-Baltic countries. Furthermore, Defense Minister Gram announced a new agreement enabling Nammo AS to significantly increase its capacity for artillery production. He also enhanced security cooperation through a trilateral letter of intent on Maritime Security Partnership in the North-Atlantic with Germany and Canada, a Declaration of Intent with the Nordic-Baltic countries, and a Nordic Declaration on cross-border airspace cooperation. Thank you to the United States for hosting this important and successful 75-years anniversary summit. NATO is stronger and more united than ever. #1NATO75years
