Korall Engineering AS is a design engineering firm, part of StartupLab Bergen, and a member of the GCE Ocean Technology cluster, that employs the latest high-end design optimization technologies. We automate product design workflows in order to reduce engineering and lead times and redesign existing products through the use of AI to reduce material waste and production costs, increase efficiency and lessen environmental impact. Our team uses machine learning design-to-manufacturing tools like Generative Design, mathematical finite element methods like Topology Optimization, and implicit modeling lattice-structure solutions for Additive Manufacturing. For those products and machines where mass is a critical factor, weight reduction cuts down fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. For those cases where performance is decisive, our team identifies where a product can be re-designed to maximize its efficiency. By automating product design workflows, we are able to generate optimized design outputs in a matter of seconds, reducing lead-times and operational costs, and freeing up engineering and design capacity for our customers. Korall Engineering operates in various industries: oil and gas, maritime, automotive, and medical. Our team specializes in industrial design optimization and automation for both additive and traditional manufacturing.

Back from MIT! 🏛✨ Thrilled to share that as part of the Ocean Tech Scaling program, the Korall Engineering AS team had an incredible week at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston! 🌆 We immersed ourselves in a wealth of knowledge, thanks to world-leading entrepreneurship experts from MIT and the impressive Norwegian team. At MIT, we delved into a 24-step method for disciplined entrepreneurship, led by Bill Aulet and guided by the brilliant minds at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship. This invaluable experience has empowered us to adjust and strengthen our growth strategy, fueling our ventures back home in Norway. 🚀 But it's not just about lectures! We're actively engaging with MIT's distinguished faculty and entrepreneurs, fostering discussions that go beyond the conventional. 🤝 Huge gratitude to our fantastic fellow participants from CGG, DeepOcean, Goodtech, Olvondo Technology AS, ScanReach - Onboard Wireless Connectivity, Havkraft AS, and veltech.
