We almost can’t wait any longer. Luckily, the big day is just 11 days away. On August 6, the very first Aurora Class vessel will be delivered. It’s an industry milestone. She will be the largest and most environmentally friendly PCTC vessel ever built. Her commencing commercial operations is the beginning of the future. One that would have never been realized had it not been for an organization and our group of employees being both bold, agile and incredibly professional. Our corporate values are not just letters on a paper. We live by them every day. And they have been imperative in fulfilling our dream of a whole new class of PCTC vessels. One that will turn of the tide when it comes to more sustainable deep-sea transportation. 11 days left and we are ready! #SailingForSustainability #AuroraClass #Maritime #DeepSeaTransportation #PCTC #HöeghAutoliners #Countdown

Arendalsuka 2024 is only a short summer break away and we are excited to co-host a timely and relevant panel on how we can bridge the price gap between sustainable fuels and fossil fuels in the maritime sector! 🌊 🌍Decarbonizing deep-sea shipping is crucial and we need concrete actions now! 🚢 Vessels being built today will likely still be operational in the 2040s. We need to ensure that investments are future-proof, enabling the green transition. 📊 Today, shipping accounts for roughly 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with 90% of that coming from deep-sea shipping. While few Norwegian politicians have led the way in creating effective, market-based support mechanisms for green fuels, Germany stands out by promoting efficient technology and market introduction of green hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives through its H2Global Foundation. 🇩🇪 💶 In fact, Germany will contribute up to NOK 50 billion to this auction-based support mechanism. 💡 What can Norway learn from Germany? How can we establish regulations and support mechanisms that bridge the price gap between fossil fuels and net zero-emission alternatives? Join us for one of the most important maritime debates at #Arendalsuka24. We have assembled a high-level panel of industry experts. Let's discuss how to achieve a net-zero future together! 🌱💡 📅 When: August 15th 🕘 Time: 09.00-10.00 ⛴ Where: MS Brisen in Pollen, Arendal 💡 Who: Markus Exenberger, Andreas Enger, Rune Holmen, Knut Arild Hareide, Lars Erik Marcussen, Marthe Therese Solaas, (M.B.A), Ingvild Kjerkol, Christine Korme Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dnKJ-7W9 Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/dEUzdivF Yara International//Yara Clean Ammonia //Heidelberg Materials//Norwegian Shipowners' Association (Norges Rederiforbund)// Enova SF /

What a fantastic day out on the water 🌊   For a company whose activities revolve around the oceans, the sea is where we are comfortable.   And although no two-stroke engine helped us move forward, we did quite well - If we may say so ourselves 😊   Only helped by the wind, we duelled in the wonderful sport of sailing. Well, also guided a bit by the professional sailors who captained the boats 😉   Thanks to them and the fantastic people at @Saillogic, who arranged yet another company outing🎯   The day was a true testament to the strength of teamwork and all that. But mostly it was fun. And great times with good colleagues.   Which is something we value highly at Höegh Autoliners. Sharing a laugh and a good experience builds togetherness like nothing else.    And spending time with your colleagues off work and away from the office is really worth it!   Some of us even brought home some well-deserved bragging rights at the office. Which you should never underestimate the importance of.   After all, we are a competitive bunch.   Both on the water and when making sure our customers are getting first class free   #SailingForSustainability #BusinessEvent #Shipping #Networking #FunAtWork

To some, this is just a vessel and the blue ocean.   To us, and the shipping industry, this is a game-changer.   A transformational innovation. And a milestone accomplishment on our path to a net-zero emissions future.   It is the first Aurora Class vessel, and she has just completed her sea trial ⭐   Successfully, we might add.   All is now set for our Aurora vessel #1 to be delivered and named at the beginning of August.   And for her to commence commercial operations right thereafter.   We are immensely proud of our Aurora Class. The world’s largest and most environmentally friendly PCTC vessels ever built.   This vessel will be cutting carbon emissions per car transported by 58% from the current industry average in August.   Today, shipping accounts for around 3 percent of all global emissions. 90% of shipping emissions come from deep-sea transportation.   That is a big problem – and one that we refuse to be part of.   With our Aurora Class we are taking a monumental leap towards our 2040 net-zero emissions goal. We are counting down the days!   #SailingForSustainability #Shipping #Maritime #HöeghAutoliners #DeepSeaTransportation

We are filled with pride and gratitude!   Today, our zero-emissions’ vision was boosted when we were granted Enova-funding for the ammonia conversion of four of our twelve Aurora Class vessels.   This is such an important political signal!   And we want to thank Enova SF, Klima- og miljødepartementet (Ministry of climate and Environment), and Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, the minister of Climate and Environment for this support.   This kind of public/private cooperation is key to ensuring that customers can actually make sustainable choices in the future.   And a key component in the green transition becoming a reality.   Our Aurora Class, the largest and most environmentally friendly PCTC vessels ever built, will change deep-sea transportation forever.   With the Aurora Class, we are creating an important demand for green ammonia becoming a viable future fuel.   For that to happen we need political leadership ensuring predictability for the suppliers. With this, Enova and Mr. Bjelland Eriksen are doing exactly that.   The funding is to cover the additional costs needed to convert our final Aurora Class vessels into ammonia-driven vessels. Enova have promised to cover 60% of these.   Right now, we are waiting for the technology to be in place to actually convert the tanks, engines, and security systems that will enable us sailing on 100% green ammonia. The vessels will run on ammonia from 2027.   We are #SailingForSustainability on a mission to reach zero-emissions operations.   Today, that future came a big, green step closer.   #HöeghAutoliners #Shipping #Maritime #Gratitude #TheFutureIsGreener

Decarbonization of deep-sea shipping is not progressing as fast as it needs.   Today, shipping is responsible for roughly 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions. 90% of that is due to deep-sea shipping.   That is not good enough. It needs to change.   While few Norwegian politicians have taken the lead in creating effective and market-based support mechanisms for green fuels, Germany is at the forefront of promoting efficient technology and market introduction of green hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives with its H2Global Foundation.   In fact. Germany will contribute up to NOK 50 billion to this auction-based support mechanism.   So, what can we in Norway learn from Germany? How do we establish regulations and support mechanisms that help cover the price gap between fossil fuels and net zero-emission alternatives?   We are at a critical point in time. Vessels being built today, will likely still be operational in the 2040s. So we need to ensure that investments are future-proof – enabling the green shift.   Join us for the most important maritime debate at Arendalsuka in August. We have lined up a great panel. …and she is sailing. All by herself!   The first Aurora Class vessel has left the yard for her first sea trial.   After weeks and weeks of testing, making sure the equipment is ready, and ensuring seaworthiness.   It’s a great achievement and one of the most important milestones to date: She is ready ⭐   The next 10 days she will be sailing in the ocean East of Shanghai.   This is another tangible step towards the net zero future, we are pursuing.   The Aurora Class is the largest and most environmentally friendly car carrier ever built.   And the crown jewels in our #sailingforsustainability   #HöeghAutoliners #Shipping #Maritime #Vessels #TheFutureIsHere
