Hydrogen is emerging as a key player in the global push to decarbonize our energy systems. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), achieving the ambitious production targets for renewable hydrogen will require 700 GW of electrolyser capacity by 2030 to reach net-zero emissions. Last Saturday, our colleagues in Singapore 🇸🇬 celebrated #WorldOceanDay with a 🧹 clean-up at Sembawang Beach 🏖️. This event was a collaboration between DNV and The Singapore Scout Association aiming to promote a better understanding of the oceans 🌊 and attract local youth to the maritime sector ⚓. Together, DNV colleagues, their families, and Scouts worked to clean the sand and shallow waters of the northern island beach, collecting 20kg of waste. Taking care of the local environment was not only a rewarding experience but also a very educational one. The participants learnt about the importance of not only recycling, but also reducing the amount of waste we produce ♻️.
