Today we commemorate flight MH17 of Malaysia Airlines, 10 years ago this day. The private national commemoration at the monument in Vijfhuizen can be followed live via the big screen at Jan Dellaertplein at Schiphol from 13:40. Last week our Cargo team visited WCS in Hongkong, were they had the chance to connect with over 1900 participants and had conversations with airline partners and handlers. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange information on quality improvement of cargo processes and digitalization with the industry leaders around the globe. Schiphol has always been a frontrunner and continues to be an innovation frontrunner with the Smart Cargo Mainport Program. E-commerce was a hot topic, with a noticeable shift from postal to general cargo air freight. This shift opens up exciting opportunities across the air cargo supply chain.
