Over ons
Investing in people's self-sufficiency is our most important task. We are active in the Netherlands and 22 developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Internationally we want to give smallholder farmers the prospect of a sustainable future. By supporting their savings and credit cooperatives and producer organizations – coffee or dairy cooperatives, for example – to professionalise and work more efficiently. That way they can better help their members and become self-reliant in the longer term. We support them with financial resources, expertise and our network. We share updates in English and Dutch.

This entire year is dedicated to our 50th anniversary. With a milestone like this, it’s essential to not only look back but also look forward. That’s why we gladly give the stage to young and ambitious entrepreneurs. Tim Elfring is one of the founders of Phood Farm and was one of the speakers at the 50 Years of Impact event. Phood Farm is a social enterprise where growth takes center stage. Young people have the opportunity to grow in their personal development and self-confidence, but they also grow leafy greens in a regenerative and hyperlocal way🌿 In their entrepreneurship, they draw on Tai Chi principles, and the team embraces the possibilities that come their way 🌻 You can read more about this in this article 👉 https://lnkd.in/evDg8Xr6 #rabofoundation #50yearsofimpact #netherlands #socialentrepeunership

🌍✨Celebrating 50 Years of Rabo Foundation: A Week to Remember!✨🌍 Last week marked a momentous occasion as we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Rabo Foundation! What an incredible week it has been! We took a nostalgic look back at our past, cast our eyes forward to the future, and, most importantly, made history together. For the first time in 50 years, all our team members gathered in Utrecht! 🌱 Throughout the week, we participated in various workshops, sharing experiences and gaining insights on topics such as impact, innovation, and smallholder agroforestry finance. These workshops were interspersed with fascinating site visits, including the FutureFarm hosted by board member Netty Wakker, and partnerships with organizations like Chocolatemakers BV, A Beautiful Mess, and Brouwerij de Prael 🥂 Thursday’s stakeholder event was a highlight. Guided by Marieke Eyskoot, we heard inspiring stories from Exotic EPZ Ltd, Phood Farm, Caravela Coffee, and Stichting Sarban de Toekomst. We networked, celebrated, and raised our glasses to the incredible journey of the past 50 years. Perhaps the most beautiful part of this week? Finally meeting each other in person, learning more, and eagerly anticipating the next 50 years! 🌟 #rabofoundation #50yearsofimpact

This year we mark our fifty year milestone 🎉 Along the way, we have collected some inspirational stories. One of these stories is Exotic EPZ Ltd, a processor and exporter of macadamia nuts. Jane Maigua is one of the three leading ladies of the company. Together, they are impacting lives by creating job opportunities for women and youth, making sure smallholder farmers receive fair prices for their produce, and by implementing sustainable agriculture 🌱 Learn more about the impact of Exotic EPZ 👉 https://lnkd.in/egR3NCZE #smallholderfarmers #kenya #rabofoundation #macadamia #50yearsofimpact

Iedereen is welkom. We hopen je snel te mogen ontvangen! ___________________ Booking.com, Social Finance NL, Ministerie van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid, Rabo Foundation, Nationale Postcode Loterij, Anton Jurgens Fonds, Oranje Fonds, Fred Foundation, Start Foundation, Kansfonds Fleur Bakker, Debora Timmerman, Olivier Tuinier, Fred Bus, Niels Paauw, Janneke Monkhorst, Fares Al Qadi, Brigje Willems, Araya Sumter, Marjolein Moorman, Arjan Dijk, Carin ten Hage, Marnix Mali, Nanouk Grootendorst, Rob Peelen, Saman Amini, Léon Dijkstra, Royal House of the Netherlands, Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers (COA), Prajna Khanna United Painting Foundation, Jasper Klinkhamer, Esther Visser, Maaike Koorman, Brownys Event Productions Henk Jan Beltman, Harvey Lansdorf, Menno Bol, Diem Do, Hord Wbi

Making a difference for people and their environment does not happen overnight. This involves a clear approach, continuous improvement and working with the right partners who share the same vision. In our fifty years of existence, the Peruvian brothers César and Santiago Paz López of the Norandino cooperative are one of the partners with whom we share a common vision. Together, we have now reached more than 7,000 coffee, cocoa and sugar farmers 👨🌾 👩🌾 Their fully traceable, sustainable cocoa beans find their way from the jungle to the Dutch (organic) supermarket, where Chocolatemakers BV chocolate is for sale 🍫 Watch the whole video here: https://lnkd.in/eiQXk4qq #smallholderfarmers #Peru #sustainablecocoa

This year marks a significant milestone for us as we proudly celebrate our 50th anniversary. But this isn’t the only milestone. Rabo Foundation is participating in the economic mission to celebrate that The Netherlands and Vietnam have maintained a diplomatic relationship for 50 years. Rabo Foundation is seizing this opportunity to visit one of our valued partners: Highland Herbs Company - DATO. DATO is specialised in making herbal tea and processing different spices (chili, ginger, tumeric) in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. We were the first lender to DATO. The loan is used to finance the factory and provide working capital. They’re actively empowering the Xe Dang community, by training the farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices and by enhancing livelihoods by guaranteeing to buy their produce. Here’s to the next fruitful chapter! 🌱🤝 #rabofoundation #Asia #theNetherlands #vietnam
