What a week at the Game Quality Forum Global! 🎮✨ First big event after a while, and you probably know how that works. Discomfort and exhaustion prevail. Or do they? Yep, you might feel very uncomfortable and exhausted from all the social interactions, the sessions and the presentations, as well as the prep that is involved. But in the end of the day, events like this are all about soaking up valuable insights, making awesome connections, and having a blast. And that’s exactly what happened at the Game Quality Forum. Last week I had the honor of moderating a panel on working in multicultural teams at Game Quality Forum in Amsterdam. 🙌 I want to thank the panelists that shared the stage with me: Miriam Moyano Reifenrath, Alexander Radkevich, and Marco Bombasi. Your stories and your insights were so interesting! In the panel we were able to explore the multifaceted elements of language, culture, and diversity in the workplace. We had an enriching experience during day 2 at the Game Quality Forum Global! Mike Kim and Ekaterina Zaytseva shared their insights on the advancements in AI, NLP, and ML for localization, including audio. Alcir Marques then took the stage and shared his inspiring journey from a gaming enthusiast to a localization expert. Finally, Katerina Florinskaya from Strikerz presented a fascinating case study on esports localization.  A special shoutout to the amazing organizers and presenters who made this event a resounding success. #GameQualityForum #Localization #FutureTrans #Advancements #GamingIndustry #AI #Gaming

✈️ We said goodbye to Amsterdam, but we’re still soaking in all the good memories! Once again, Game Quality Forum Global was a fantastic place to reconnect with peers who are passionate about localization and QA processes and to voice different industry concerns. Discussions on embracing current tech advancements, like AI and automation, while maintaining the human touch were also a central part of the event. Marina Ilari, CT had a great time exploring the multifaceted elements of language, culture, and diversity in the workplace as the moderator of a panel of amazing professionals, including Marco Bombasi, Alexander Radkevich, and Miriam Moyano Reifenrath. Another highlight was Estelle Bailly's presentation on recovering from layoffs in the industry. She said, “Layoffs are a result of a failed system, not your failure,” and we couldn't agree more. We returned home really inspired, with fresh ideas to test out and some to investigate further.
