Every day, we manage countless supermarket deliveries in cities through our platform 🛒. We provide transporters with smart solutions for urban challenges such as zero-emission zones, safety, and minimising disruption. #ConstructionLogistics faces the same challenges as retail. Did you know that one in four lorries in (Dutch) cities carries building materials? And this will only increase with all the planned construction projects 🏗️. For both retail and construction logistics, smart and efficient logistics solutions are essential! In our blog, we talk about the 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 👈 Dagelijks handelen wij talloze supermarktleveringen in de stad af via ons platform 🛒.

Mobilising dormant goods, from warehouse storage to back-in-use! This month our team have been onsite at one of our corporate partners warehouses where we are developing a rehoming strategy for still-useful, but currently underutilised, goods, with the objective to mobilise products to deliver social, environmental and commercial outcomes. While there may be a shortage of warehouse storage across Australia, there’s no shortage of warehouses – it’s just that often there are products or materials sitting idol and gathering dust (not to mention the costs associated with storage fees and handling!). As part of our circular asset management services, we’re providing on-site solutions that assess and catalogue items in the first instance, enabling our Recommerce team to develop a comprehensive rehoming strategy that leverages our repair and refurbishment capability, and utilises various channels to get products back into the economy. Throughout the process, providing real-time transparency tracking of goods and impact reporting on completion. We’re thrilled to be working with an industry-leader that is looking to find a sustainable solution for their vast portfolio of assets used for delivering large scale tourism services all over the globe. This project has involved deploying our Response Squad to the warehouse site, where we were able to successfully log thousands of assets across hundreds of warehouse locations, setting up a rehoming strategy to enable better utilisation of those assets, with circularity at the core. The industrial properties and logistics real estate sectors are critical components of the global real estate market. Industrial properties have historically offered attractive yields and potential for capital growth, particularly in well-located logistics hubs. E-commerce has significantly boosted demand for logistics real estate, particularly for last-mile delivery centers close to major population centers. #industrialproperty #logisticsrealestate #ocio #commercialrealestateinvesting #commercialrealestate

Excited to delve into the intricacies of warehouse logistics today! As a part of the Challenge Logistics Ltd. team in Auckland, we're always seeking the most efficient methods to store pallets. Let's talk about the differences between racking and stacking and the cost and efficiency benefits associated with each: 🔹 Racking: Racking involves the use of specialized shelving units, or pallet racks, to store pallets vertically. Each pallet is placed on a separate shelf, maximizing vertical space while ensuring easy access to individual pallets. This method is ideal for warehouses with high ceilings, as it utilizes vertical space efficiently. 🔹 Stacking: Stacking, on the other hand, refers to simply stacking pallets on top of each other directly on the warehouse floor. This method is straightforward and requires no additional equipment; however, it may not be as space-efficient and can make accessing individual pallets more challenging, especially in larger warehouses. Now, let's talk about the cost and efficiency benefits: 💰 Cost: 🔹 Racking systems typically require an initial investment in shelving units or pallet racks. However, in the long run, they can save costs by maximizing warehouse space, reducing the need for additional square footage. 🔹 Stacking pallets directly on the floor requires minimal upfront investment, and it's an effective method of storage to reduce costs. ⏱️ Efficiency: 🔹 Racking systems improve efficiency by organizing pallets in a structured manner, allowing for easy access and retrieval of goods. This streamlined approach can enhance workflow and reduce the time spent searching for specific items. 🔹Stacking, is a simpler method of storage especially when you have full pallet loads going out on delivery without the need to 'break-down' a pallet for order picking. At Challenge Logistics Ltd, we understand the importance of optimizing warehouse operations for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. By carefully considering the differences between racking and stacking, we can tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring seamless logistics solutions. Let's continue to innovate and optimize together! ☎ 0800 61 88 61 📧 [email protected] 🌐 https://lnkd.in/gtxE3hNe #Logistics hashtag #WarehouseManagement hashtag #Efficiency hashtag #CostSavings hashtag #ChallengeLogistics hashtag #AucklandBound

Warehouse construction recovery expected for 2024 Updated research by Interact Analysis shows that warehouse construction is showing signs of recovering following a slowdown in 2022 and 2023. The slowdown in new warehouse construction was driven by a slowdown in e-commerce growth and higher interest rates, reducing the amount of capital flowing toward real estate developments. However, we're starting to see e-commerce growth rates stabilize, returning to pre-pandemic levels. #BOMADenver #BOMADenverMetro #DenverMetroBOMA #BOMAInternational #CommercialRealEstate #IndustrialRealEstate
