PODCAST: PLUON partner Wim Claes transport & logistiek sucessfully tested a new electric truck, despite initial skepticism from drivers. The e-truck offers a 450-kilometer range and enhances driving comfort. The company is exploring expansion opportunities and suitable charging points, and has found a motivated driver who appreciates the benefits of electric driving. Customers are responding positively to the sustainable option, and the company aims to collaborate with customers to share charging facilities. Wim Claes recently sent his first electric truck, Mercedes-Benz AG Truck, onto the road. The first weeks of the project went excellently. Although there are many fears about electric driving, especially among traditional diesel drivers, the company has found an enthusiastic driver to operate the truck. The electric truck can travel 450 kilometers on a full charge, significantly enhancing driver comfort. The company is currently in the testing phase and primarily uses the truck regionally. De e-truck biedt 450 kilometer actieradius en verhoogt het rijcomfort. Het bedrijf zoekt naar uitbreidingsmogelijkheden en geschikte laadpunten en heeft een gemotiveerde chauffeur gevonden die de voordelen van elektrisch rijden waardeert. Klanten reageren positief op de duurzame optie, en het bedrijf streeft naar samenwerking met klanten om laadfaciliteiten te delen. Wim Claes heeft onlangs zijn eerste elektrische vrachtwagen, een Mercedes-Benz Trucks, de weg opgestuurd. De eerste weken van het project verliepen uitstekend. Hoewel er veel angsten bestaan over elektrisch rijden, vooral onder traditionele dieselchauffeurs, heeft het bedrijf toch een enthousiaste chauffeur gevonden om de wagen te besturen. De elektrische vrachtwagen kan 450 kilometer afleggen op een volle lading, wat aanzienlijk bijdraagt aan het comfort van de chauffeur. Het bedrijf bevindt zich momenteel in de testfase en zet de truck voornamelijk regionaal in.
