Het is geen kwestie van ‘of’, maar ‘wanneer’: quantumcomputers komen eraan. En daarmee ook de mogelijkheid om veelgebruikte computerbeveiligingen te omzeilen. De Algemene Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst - AIVD drukt organisaties die met gevoelige data werken daarom op het hart, zo snel mogelijk de overstap te maken naar quantumveilige producten. Werken aan de digitale toekomst doet het ministerie van Financiën samen met de markt, kennispartners en ecosystemen. Zo verkenden we met Quantum Delta NL en het Centre for Quantum and Society de waarde van quantumcomputing. Denk hierbij aan technische mogelijkheden, maar ook hoe we deze veilig en verantwoord kunnen inzetten. En met de Universiteit Leiden werkten we aan een quantumexperiment voor het toekomstig inzetten van de nieuwe technologie bij ons ministerie. We kijken uit naar de verdere samenwerking met onze partners. Want met de komst van quantumcomputing staan we aan de wieg van een grote technologische verandering. #innovatie #quantum #MinFin
🤝 Over the past few months the Ministerie van Financiën collaborated with our centre to explore the opportunities of quantum technology, along with partner organizations and quantum experts. Part of this exploration was an inventory of the ethical, legal and societal aspects (ELSA) of these applications. The ministry aims to contribute to the responsible application of quantum technology (Quantum for Good). ✅ The inventory of the Ethical, Legal and Societal Aspects (ELSA) focused on two concrete use cases: staff planning and detection of deviations in annual accounts. For both applications, the potential advantages and disadvantages, as well as the preconditions for a responsible implementation, were explored. 💡This analysis strengthens the vision of the Ministry on innovation: that early perception formation within the organization is of great importance, as well as attention to preconditions such as data interoperability, organizational embedding and compliance with legal and ethical principles such as fairness and non-discrimination 🔎 Read the full report with the results of the sessions here: https://lnkd.in/ebfnYbYq 💡As part of our efforts, to help organizations capitalize on the opportunities of quantum technology and identify the potential challenges associated to its application, our centre launched the Exploratory Quantum Technology Assessment (EQTA) last year.
