Due to a larger business transformation program initiated at the end of 2013, the World Class BI program was never launched but several ideas were integrated into the business transformation program.

Realisation of the data-warehouse for the OV Chipkaart. In the beginning this project had me focused on the technical aspects of the source system and the data it was providing the Nederlandse Spoorwegen as well as the complexities in storing and integrating that data. Later on, my role changed from the technical to the functional aspects of the OV Chipkaart. Activities would include checking business assumptions against the true data and reflecting possible consequences of differences between them, analyzing, performing and deepening of ad-hoc questions which would arrive at the BICC and advising the BICC on changing certain aspects of the data-warehouse from a technical concepts to functional concepts. Development of a business metadata application used for Data Governance and Quality. Focus of the application was increasing the user friendliness of the application while also increasing data security. In the end, the application Betsy was a huge success, with business users coming to the BICC to ask if they could have their Excel lists registered into Betsy.
