Listening again to this latest from Daniel Schmachtenberger and Nate Hagens. The discussion around authentic progress is essential in this era which, in the end, is mainly driven by market forces and market opportunities. And of course, a virtual omerta on externalities which are (very often) left for the next generation to pick up the tab. The situation around water in the United Kingdom is a good example in which an "environmental" business is run for the benefit of stakeholders, neither the user nor the environment. This can happen through the lax imposition of laws in vigour, and through privatisations actually driven by government. The examples of DDT and leaded fuels are discussed in the first part.
