💥 Project update in Amsterdam. Rhythm analysis: transdisciplinary approach for identifying togetherness in the urban context https://lnkd.in/dmZrUvkM Exciting news to share! 🌟 Habidatum's collaborative journey with the University of Amsterdam, TU Delft, AMS Institute and the Amsterdam municipality under the project "Designing Rhythms of Social Resilience", funded by the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research, is yielding insightful results. The main research question is: how can urban rhythms be designed to bolster social resilience in the face of global challenges? Focusing on the Zuidoost district of Amsterdam during the COVID-19 pandemic, we observed shifts in urban rhythms as people adapted to new usage patterns of home and public spaces. The research underscores the importance of policy-making informed by an understanding of these dynamic rhythms within communities and public spaces. Utilizing a blend of ethnographic research, field interviews, observations, and big data analysis, our project delved deeper into these phenomena.   Today, the insights and concepts of the research are presented at the AMS Scientific Conference: Reinventing the City, with the title "Rhythm analysis: transdisciplinary approach for identifying togetherness in the urban context". https://lnkd.in/ehd--uZ2 You can also find a concise overview of the project on our page: Project Page. The value of justice has been somewhat neglected in the design processes. At the same time, justice's role in design is essential in the increasing complexity of technological systems related to societal issues.
