In a market shrinking 4 percent every year, the group managed to grow by 4 percent. Thanks to digital printing techniques, more efficient production than Germans, pre-glued wallpaper and the accent wall trend." "The acquisition made The Wallfashion House larger than its direct competitor, the also German A.S. Création. 'It had been our dream for years to take over Rasch, but not just because we would be the biggest. Germany has always been a difficult market because of the strong competition. Rasch is also a strong brand in German-speaking countries partly because of the name of the family, which still holds 25 percent in the company after the acquisition.'" "The acquisitions somewhat camouflage the fact that the Tielt-based company also continues to record organic growth. 'About 3 to 4 percent per year,' Patrick Molemans says. 'We owe that to a number of assets. Ten years ago, we deliberately switched the rifle from shoulder - forget it consumers still wallpaper their entire house, as they did until the 1980s.
