Judith Ramitha Gunaratne

I worked for the second edition of the history festival of my city, "Lezioni di Storia Festival". I was in charge of the communication and organization of the event. This helped me to increase my cooperation and teamwork abilities.

Main duties and responsibilities:
▪ Supervision of big events
▪ Management of large groups of people
▪ Management of tight deadlines

I was a volunteer in the Kalamata Street Festival which took place in Greece. I worked in a multicultural enviroment with people from different countries of Europe. I was assigned to the construction group whichs main duties were:

▪ Making some of the material of the festival
▪ Constructing the graffiti wooden walls
▪ Painting
▪ Cons tructing the bar and other structures
▪ Help the local volunteers with all activities during setting up and running the festival.

I took part in the project "Words to change the World", an Erasmus Youth Exchange which took place in Naples. The project increased my critical analysis on the theme of immigration and provided an opportunity to reflect on different point of view and on media influence of public opinion and political actions. It also enhanced my social and civic competences and helped me to take confidence with myself in a multicultural environment.
