SaaStock delivered!!! Big time, Joran Hofman 👏👏👏 Just back from SaaStock in Utrecht and, wow, what a day! As someone who juggles multiple hats — startup life, family life, and everything in between — being selective about events is a must. Two incredible speakers brought two very different yet insightful stories to the stage: Bridget Harris, who’s out there hustling the bootstrapped way, and Patrick Meutzner 💬, who’s navigating the VC route like a Pro. And can we talk about the venue? Trengo's Bali floor was an absolute vibe — felt like I was networking in paradise 🏝️ Made some fantastic connections with fellow entrepreneurs who are also taking the hard road, grinding it out and building something real. But there was one slide that really hit me: "Who to Hire?" (Thanks, Steve Jobs, for the timeless wisdom and Bridget to bring this again). We all try to dodge the bullet of a bad hire, but let's face it, it happens. And when it does, it’s more than just a setback — it can disrupt your culture, your team, even your whole company. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬: 𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 In early 2024, I created an Employer Branding video for a fictional "Dutch Construction Company" using nothing but AI tools: script by ChatGPT, visuals by Midjourney, image to video by Runway Gen-2, voice-over by ElevenLabs, music by Soundful, and subtitles/edits in Kapwing.   The entire process took less than 2 hours. But the result? It wasn't quite on par with a real-life video.   Fast forward to Q3 2024, and Runway released their newest model, Gen-3. I revisited the project with this upgraded toolset. Same video concept, new capabilities.   𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝: - Significant improvement in realism: Runway’s Gen-3 has taken a major leap forward, coming closer to true realism. - AI's human limitations: While much improved, AI-generated humans still have that unmistakable "AI" feel. - High-quality inanimate objects: Objects, including reflections and textures, have reached impressive quality. - Efficient and cost-effective: Combining various AI tools, you can achieve professional results with minimal budget in just a few hours.   𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: As of now, I still believe that an Employer Branding video featuring real employees is superior. But the answer might change if you don’t have the budget for a real one. Especially if you take in mind how AI videos will evolve next year.
