Economic Analysis of Enzymatic Debridement Versus Standard Burn Care: A Retrospective Analysis Our study compared the costs of standard surgical care and bromelain-based enzymatic debridement (BED) for deep burns in 44 adult patients. Results showed that BED significantly reduced total debridement costs and overall care expenses compared to traditional surgical methods. This reduction was mainly due to less surgical intervention and lower resource consumption in the BED group.
