📰 📣 Our CEO Paul Mignot has been featured in Solar Magazine Since January 2024, a Realtime interface (RTI) is mandatory for all new or updated grid connections exceeding 1MW. The RTI aims to facilitate real-time communication and coordination between energy producers and grid operators. But what does this mean for suppliers? How are they responding to this development? In the article, Paul Mignot discusses Withthegrid's contribution to the development of the RTI requirements in collaboration with Dutch grid operators. “Netbeheer Nederland made an open invitation to the market to participate in the development of the Realtime Interface, determining the functional requirements was a public process. We starten met een energieoplossing waarbij klanten de maximale capaciteit van hun netaansluiting benutten én gebruik kunnen maken van dynamische energieprijzen. Voorbeelden zijn het uitschakelen van zonnepanelen bij negatieve prijzen, het opwarmen van boilers tijdens voordelige periodes en het plaatsen van batterijen om aan de piekvraag te voldoen zonder de netaansluiting te overschrijden. Bij deze innovatieve oplossing werken we samen met partners die de benodigde kennis en componenten inbrengen: Ecobat Energy levert batterijen, SolarGateway van Dijkman en A Consultancy Company biedt slimme software. Hoe werkt dit in de praktijk? Stel dat een bedrijf een zonne-installatie heeft die op sommige momenten meer elektriciteit produceert dan de aansluiting aankan. Op andere momenten leveren de panelen terug wanneer ervoor moet worden betaald. We installeren dan een meetspoel en een stuurbox. Daarmee worden de zonnepanelen automatisch uitgeschakeld bij negatieve marktprijzen of overbelasting van de aansluiting. Om financieel voordeel te behalen, is een dynamische energiecontract nodig.
