"Every breath counts!" With that in mind, VIVOLTA's own Ramon Solberg, Niki Joosten, and Bastiaan Terhaard traveled to Jena, Germany last week to meet our partners Avelo and BLINK AG for our Eurostars project BreathCounts. The goal of this project is to develop and manufacture (1) a disposable breath collection device incorporating an electrospun nanofiber filter and (2) a high-throughput diagnostic assay capable of screening multiple pathogens at the point-of-need. In this energizing meeting we presented our project updates, learned from our partners, and received a breathtaking tour of BLINK's facilities. It was great to freshen up our knowledge on multiplex PCR and BLINK's innovative approach to achieving high throughput and precision! We are making great progress on this collaborative effort to improve lower respiratory tract infection diagnosis and treatment. Stay tuned on our website (www.vivolta.com) for more exciting progress.
