🚀 Europe’s Moonshot Ambitions for AI: Insights from Ann Nowe🌟 In the second session of the #AIMoonshot event, titled "Discuss the Future of AI in Europe – Trustworthy, Secure, Competitive, and Multicultural AI Systems for the Benefit of Society," experts shared their perspectives on shaping the future of #AI in #Europe. 🌍 🎤 Ann Nowé, Professor of Computer Science and Director of the AI Lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel provided her expert insights. Ann's research focuses on Reinforcement Learning (#RL), Multi-Agent, and Multi-Objective RL. She co-leads the Situated AI challenge in the Flemish AI program, emphasising the interplay between theory and applications. Indeed. What we now need is a European Moonshot for AI, orchestrated by a new agency independent of the European Commission - a CERN for AI, as mentioned by Ursula van der Leyen just before her reelection. Onwards!
