  • Discover the aftermovie of our VDL ETG T&D Technology Conference 2024, ‘The Secrets of our Innovations…’ 🎇 On Wednesday, June 19, we witnessed an impressive gathering of nearly 600 colleagues from VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V. Markjan Vermeer, Managing Director of T&D, took the stage with a warm welcome for all attendees. He was followed by keynote presenter Martin van de Brink, who shared more about the industry and the cooperation between VDL ETG and ASML. Ton Peijnenburg, deputy managing director at T&D, then took the audience through a comprehensive overview of key product developments and technical skills within the company. It was a day of information, inspiration and interaction! We look back on a more-than-successful day. Watch the video below for a glimpse into the day’s events. 🙌          #technology #development #werkenbijVDL #hightech

  • Throughout the years that Razaly worked at VDL ETG Singapore, he witnessed the company's transformation from a medium-sized precision parts-making manufacturer into one of Singapore's leading contract manufacturing companies. ‘’One of the most important aspects of my job as a Procurement officer is to ensure the quality and timeliness of the products and services delivered by our suppliers. As the go-to person for anything related to supply chain management, I have to deal with supplier performance in terms of quality and On-Time-Delivery. I resolve any issues that arise in the supply chain process. The challenge and satisfaction of buying quality mechanical parts from qualified suppliers at the correct pricing with the shortest possible lead time is something I truly enjoy.’’ Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential in Razaly's role. You have to both develop and maintain effective communication and collaboration with them. Trust and mutual understanding are key to a good supplier relationship. ‘‘It's incredibly satisfying to see the impact of the innovations we create. I am heartened to be a part of such a motivated and talented team that is committed and dedicated in meeting our company goals and above all, please all customers.’’ #werkenbijVDL #procurementofficer #quality #innovation #hightech

  • Unveiling the secrets of our innovations was a pivotal aspect of the T&D Technology Conference 2024. ⚡ The conference’s primary objective was to synergise the diverse expertise and learn from each other within VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V. • We had the privilege to be a hosting organisation to the esteemed participants of the CERN Accelerator School - CAS’s lecture program. We welcomed 80 engineers and applied physicists who attended the course ‘Mechanical & Materials Engineering for Particle Accelerators and Detectors’. They visited VDL ETG Precision B.V. for a company presentation and facility tour. We provided insight into the precision engineering behind particle accelerator components. Together we exchanged expertise on the intricate mechanics of particle accelerators. We are proud to contribute to the program. Our collaboration with CERN underlines our commitment to advancing the field of particle physics. A big thank you to everyone involved for making this event a resounding success!

  • VDL Ambassador at heart? Then you describe HR Business Partner Josje Ras. For four years, she worked as a recruiter with various VDL companies across the country. In 2022, she made the move to HR Business Partner for VDL ETG's precision companies: VDL ETG Precision B.V. and VDL GL Precision B.V..   ‘’In 2022 I was ready for something new, a new challenge, but I wanted to stay within VDL. That's how I came in touch with Pim Hertogs of VDL ETG for the role of HR Business Partner. I am still extremely happy with the move. I think this is the coolest job within VDL 😊’’     Why Josje goes to work with a smile every day? The personal aspect! ‘’I enjoy talking to people, coaching and guiding both managers and other colleagues. I also regularly work with the management team. That's next-level communication, really a fun challenge.’’   If you’re considering applying for the HR Business Partner position, Josje has one piece of advice: ''Go for it! I have been working at VDL for almost 6 years now, over the years I have really grown a VDL heart. Even though we have such a big organisation, I think you experience the family feeling everywhere. A big family that is proud of VDL and proud of each other, a company where you get to take on a lot within your job and beyond.’’   Would you like to join Pim’s team and become Josje’s colleague? • Graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering opens a multitude of career paths. At the recent Lunch Lecture hosted by the Study Association of Mechanical Engineering Simon Stevin, our colleagues Dino Verhoef and Guus Bauwens shared their experiences about working in the high-tech industry, both from different positions within our organisation. As Group Lead Production at VDL GL Precision B.V., Dino operates in the manufacturing phase. A day in the life of Guus would look very different, as a Mechanical Design Engineer at VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V., his role plays a bigger part in the design phase. It is always a great opportunity to share more about working in the captivating world of high-tech engineering and inspiring new talent. Are you curious about the open positions for Mechanical Engineers? • We face big tasks together; why reinvent the wheel everywhere? Ton Peijnenburg is deputy general manager of VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V.. “The engineering office of VDL ETG, you could say. We don’t have machines, we have designers.” He also has been a fellow at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven’s High Tech Systems Center (HTSC) for seven years. Because they connect several departments (Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics & Computer Science), it enables HTSC to take a multidisciplinary look at issues from the industry. Ton: ‘‘As a fellow, I’m particularly active at the intersection in which strategic technology needs from industry that align with TU/e’s research ambitions are made explicit. You must bring two worlds together to get the best out of them.” The university has a nice role in sharing knowledge about innovations. ACCESS: Active Contamination Control for Equipment and Substrates is a good example of the cooperation within HTSC.” Three TU/e groups (two from Applied Physics and one from Mechanical Engineering) have worked together over the past five years to understand the generation of tiny particulate matter that causes contamination in high-tech machinery. The first part of the research was completed early this year, and we have now started the second part. So, the research continues. Discover the complete interview with Ton Peijnenburg on our partnership with TU/e at this link:https://lnkd.in/e-SjUcgP
