@Bio Europe 2023: 3 intensive but very rewarding days in beautiful Munich, 32 scheduled meetings, an interesting lecture program, several cups of coffee and a good laugh with industry friends, Guillaume Demarne, Larry DeLucas and Anand Bhogu. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even though breast cancer affects approximately 1 in 8 women worldwide (and 1 in 833 men), the topic remains unknown for too many. This month is dedicated to educating, raising awareness, and supporting the people suffering from this type of cancer. Breast cancer is particularly dangerous since it accounts for 12.5% of the cancer cases which makes it the most common type of cancer in the world. Left untreated, breast cancer could invade and compromise other surrounding the breast organs leading to further worsened treatment and severe complications. However, when the symptoms are caught early, the chances of a better recovery are higher. Therefore, it is vital to continue educating and raising awareness about symptoms and prevention measures.
