This is due to the usage of merely organic materials in combination with the aqueous sodium-ion electrolyte. A propriety synthesis method suppresses the solubility of organic materials in an aqueous battery which has led to a cycle life of >18.000 (~49 years by single daily usage). 🎉 Congratulations to our researchers Tessel Bouwens, Mark de Geus, Yan B. Vogel and Adrian Mularczyk for receiving a Veni grant from NWO (Dutch Research Council)! They receive the personal award along with ten other laureates from Delft University of Technology. 🚌 Tessel Bouwens will develop a tiny shuttle bus to produce building blocks for medicines using solar energy, avoiding polluting fossil fuels. 🏥 Mark de Geus is going to develop new chemistry for cancer therapy with a lower dosis of radiation. 🌍 Yan B.
