Dam tot Dam - going the distance for the Eye Care Foundation! The spirit of teamwork and a dedication to supporting our partners runs strongly through every one of our business units and last weekend TPV Cares colleagues from TP Vision, MMD Monitors & Displays, AOC International Europe B.V., and PPDS - Professional Display Solutions ran in the Dam tot Dam from Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam, through the IJtunnel, all the way to Peperstraat in Zaandam to raise funds for our partner, The Eye Care Foundation. We are happy to announce that our partnership with the Rode Kruis Nederland will go into the second phase! The first phase of the program was mainly focused on WASH facility rehabilitation, disaster risk reduction awareness campaigns, as well as community-based mangroves restoration with the dedicated support of Philippine Red Cross. The second phase will address root causes based on the Ridge to Reef approach, looking at watershed level, from upstream, midstream to downstream coastal ecosystems, showcasing the value of nature protects people. This includes several activities to start with such as, landscape stakeholder analysis, ecosystem and community needs assessments to understand the risks and degradation from the impact of climate change.   Each quarter we will give you an update about this innovative project coastal communities from disaster risks and reduce the impacts of climate-related hazards. #SDG3 #SDG13 #communityinvestment  AOC International Europe B.V. AV industry collaborations seeking to make a difference to the people in our shared communities have a special place in our hearts here at TPV Cares. One of the amazing social partners we support is Together For Cinema , who partners with AV businesses to design and install home cinemas in children’s hospices across the UK. One of their latest cinema rooms can be found in the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle, where a fantastic 98” Philips Professional Displays is now in prime position to bring joy to the young people and their families in their care. Furthering PPDS - Professional Display Solutions’ commitment to driving sustainability in the AV industry, together with its partners and customers, PPDS has teamed up with US-based not-for-profit organization, SAVe | Sustainability in AV. Founded in 2022, SAVe works to inspire the AV industry to take concerted action and develop strategies to achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Aligned in their beliefs and ambitions, PPDS will be hosting SAVe’s special networking event on the Philips booth on June 11-14.
