Steeler Yachts acquires Holterman Shipyard, Steenwijk, The Netherlands - Steeler Yachts, a prestigious Dutch yachtbuilder based in Steenwijk, has officially taken over the operations of Holterman Shipyard from Meppel, The Netherlands, following its bankruptcy declared last week. This acquisition provides Steeler Yachts with the much-needed production capacity expansion to meet growing demand. With 16 new motor yachts currently under construction, the strategic location of Holterman Shipyard, just 10 minutes from Steeler's existing facilities, offers substantial opportunities for further growth in the high-end segment of aluminum and steel-built motor yachts. Steeler Yachts plans to restart production immediately, primarily employing former Holterman staff. For the Holterman team, this takeover offers a chance to continue their work and passion after a period of uncertainty, providing much-needed job security. Over the past decade, Steeler Yachts and Holterman Shipyard were fierce international competitors, both having won multiple international awards. Both companies are renowned for offering fully custom superyacht experiences to clients in the 50 to 100-foot range. Steeler Yachts is confident that the shared expertise between the two teams will lead to an even higher level of excellence in delivering bespoke yachting experiences.

Exciting news! Yesterday was a big day for the Steeler yard. After receiving the first hull of the 22M Ocean Explorer it was now time to assemble the superstructure to the hull.
