Blog Time! 🎉 📰 This month’s blog is a Space4Good and Wageningen University & Research co-edition, around a project to detect invisible roads in tropical #rainforests using super-resolution algorithms on #satellite data 🛰️🤖🌳.   Six master's students enhanced the #Sentinel2 satellite imagery resolution from 10-60m to 1m. Read on 👀📖 to discover how they then developed two #deeplearning models for road detection and assessed their performance. Given that illegal activities like logging, mining, and poaching often rely on hidden roads, detecting these early with data-driven mechanisms can help conservation efforts protecting our forests and biodiversity.
