Rain or shine: sometimes you just have to add a little beach to your summer 🏖️. By supplying Jopen BV Haarlem with filtered water directly from the North Sea, they’ve become the world’s first brewery to brew with SEA Water™, marking a significant milestone in our mission. Next to the brewing process, creating three commercials with them was a lot of fun! 1: https://lnkd.in/e8j6SX8C 2: https://lnkd.in/eQyJVK3X 3: https://lnkd.in/ediX9JgY Looking ahead, we aim to supply heavy water users worldwide with solar-powered desalinated seawater, further reducing our collective dependency on freshwater sources 🌊.

REFRESHING NEWS: We've teamed up with Jopen BV Haarlem Brewery to introduce the world’s first beer brewed with solar powered desalinated seawater. With a shared passion for innovation we have bundled forces with Jopen to give a unique twist to their session IPA beer ‘Life’s a Beach’. By supplying Jopen with filtered water directly sourced from the North Sea, the brewery from Haarlem, The Netherlands, now is the world’s first brewery to brew using SEA Water™. A part of every can sold will be donated to one of our impact partners, such as ReefSystems, contributing to help restore and maintain vital ecosystems in our beloved oceans. This project marks a significant milestone for us as it represents the first big opportunity to show how we can help other companies supplying water from a new source. We highly appreciate Jopen’s commitment to being so forward-thinking. Special thanks to Lydian Zoetman, Michel Ordeman, and the entire Jopen team for going on this journey with us! On Wednesday, we showcased our stand at the Compass Group Proefparade! We had the pleasure of engaging with many familiar faces as well as introducing ourselves to new ones. Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to connect with several notable brands including Lemonaid & ChariTea, Groentegoed, Soof Drinks: Not a soft drink!, The Vegetarian Butcher, and many more. We've been proudly partnering with Compass Group for some time now, and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect personally with the people behind the names. A big thank you to Isabelle Timmermans, Maarten de Baat, and Maarten van de Graaf from Compass Group for the great time, and we're excited about what's to come!

Can solar panels make the sea drinkable? In the Netherlands, we've launched SEA Water™, the world's first desalinated water brand powered entirely by renewable energy. A testament to the capabilities of our technology. Sourced directly at the North Sea, our products include both still and sparkling water, packaged in recyclable 330 ml aluminum cans, available in the largest supermarkets and wholesalers in the Netherlands. But why start a desalinated water brand in a country where it always seems to rain? Read about our vision and innovative approach in the article linked below. Interested in your own smart water solution or want to use SEA Water™ as an ingredient in your product? We’d love to connect! Dutch newspaper NRC published an article (by Marcel aan de Brugh) about the report 'Delta Scenarios 2024', which was presented this Wednesday to Minister Mark Harbers (Infrastructure and Water Management) and to Delta Commissioner Co Verdaas. Four scenarios show that the water challenges will increase considerably: freshwater shortages in the summer will increase, more flooding will occur due to rain showers and the consequences of flooding will become greater. The growing problems are partly caused by climate change. The Netherlands will have wetter winters and drier summers. The salinization of coastal areas is increasing as a result of rising sea levels. More extreme weather will also occur more often – downpours in the summer and prolonged rainfall in the winter. In addition, the population and economy are growing. This, for example, increases the demand for drinking water. The report does not mention concrete solutions, according to the NRC. “With the Delta scenarios we visualize possible futures,” says Saskia van Vuren, staff member of the Delta Commissioner. “How we deal with changes is the next step.” Link to the article: https://lnkd.in/e_v8bG2U
