𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗱-𝘁𝗼-𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 🎥 One of the key benefits of the SCINUS bioreactor NG is the ability to expand your culture volume without interrupting your cells for passaging. How does it work? By leveraging the bead-to-bead transfer capacity of adherent cell types. In the video below, you’ll see a schematic representation of how adherent cells migrate from one microcarrier to the other. During a brief pause of the rocker system, the microcarriers settle closely together in the bioreactor bag, giving cells enough time to migrate to fresh, empty microcarriers. Once all microcarriers are full, we simply expand the bag, adding new medium and fresh microcarriers— and there is no harvesting or passaging required! The only time we harvest the cells is at the end of the culture. Curious how this could work for your cell type and protocol? Last week, we had another insightful consortium meeting for the Horizon Europe LIBRA Project EU! It was great to connect and see in real life the progress being made by all the project partners. Discover more about the LIBRA project here: https://lnkd.in/dKyYz-i4
🎉 LioniX International hosted a successful review meeting for the LIBRA Project EU! We had a fantastic time welcoming our partners from all corners of Europe. Representatives from CSEM, Optagon Photonics, Scinus Cell Expansion B.V., Ecovamed, AnalysisMode, Demcon, ICCS - NTUA , Aarhus University, PhosPrint P.C., and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche came all the way to our offices in Enschede, the Netherlands for a gathering purposed to showcase the progress made so far and plan the exciting next steps in this journey. 🤝 ℹ️ Libra is a Horizon Europe project meant to revolutionize the future of bioreactors and biofuels with a state-of-the-art, chip-enabled multi-sensing device. 🧫 This benchtop device in development uses light to detect various nutrients and pathogens, making it a game-changer for closed bioreactor systems. It enables precise cell cultivation, paving the way for early disease diagnosis and treatment, innovative stem cell therapies, contamination-free biological pharmaceuticals and many more. LioniX is proud to contribute by developing and manufacturing #photonic chips based on our ultra-low-loss TriPleX® silicon nitride. 🔗Learn more about LIBRA: https://lnkd.in/ennk-N93
