Project 392 Elfje incorporates an iteration of the hybrid technology that was inspired by Ethereal, the world’s first hybrid superyacht. Whereas Ethereal’s ground-breaking hybrid system focuses on propulsion and power management, Elfje interprets “hybrid” as generating power via variable speed, variable output generators backed up by a Li-ion “peak shaving” power storage bank and energy management system. The St. Barths Bucket is indelibly marked on the calendars of more and more sailing superyacht owners. The regatta is the queen of all superyacht regattas. Simply put, it has everything going for it. The obvious draw is that it takes place in and around St. Barthélemy, a small French island in the Leeward chain of the Caribbean. This pristine island with 5-star hotels, delectable restaurants, seascape villas, glorious beaches, translucent waters, chic shopping, and hilly topography is the ‘it’ island of the cognoscenti. Yacht owners enjoy relaxed ‘feet in the sand’ rosé lunches with fellow owners and guests as well as team spirit dinners with their crew. Royal Huisman turns hull of world's largest sloop: the shipyard team in Vollenhove achieved a highly anticipated milestone in the creation of Project 410. The impressive 61m / 200ft main part of the aluminum hull was wheeled out of the construction hall, revealing her immense scale and two accommodation levels. In a seamless maneuver, four cranes lifted and turned this masterpiece mid-air over the adjacent canal. The upright hull will be placed on a cradle and moved back into Hall 2, her home until completion. Vollenhove, The Netherlands: home to the world’s finest superyacht building. Royal Huisman’s full-scale design mock-ups support the design and decision-making process from vision to concept. To accommodate the very sizeable mock-up of the aft half main deck of Project 404 Sarissa, a temporary tent was set up on the shipyard premises available for this purpose. Various clients of Royal Huisman requested the shipyard to build them a full-size mockups months ahead of the start of the actual production of their dream yacht. The scope can vary from a pedestal with steering wheel, to large areas such as a cabin layout or deck section.
