Front runner in clean fuel

Over ons

Transport can and must be greener, but we also want it to remain profitable, which is why Rolande is striving for the cleanest and most economically viable fuel in the transport sector. Currently, this is LNG. As a frontrunner in the LNG market, we know all the ins & outs of LNG. By managing and continuing to develop the entire chain, we can bring you further. In 2005 we began as pioneers, which resulted in the introduction of driving on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (Bio-LNG), in Dutch and European road transport in 2010. We now have the largest LNG network and are continually developing as the market leader in LNG and Bio-LNG. We consider LNG to be the fuel that will clear the way for Bio-LNG. In light of the Climate Agreement, Co2 tax and the growing environmental awareness of consumers and companies, it is becoming increasingly important to be consciously involved in this.

Yet another big advantage of Bio-LNG is its extensive network. In Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands there's a reliable network of Rolande Bio-LNG filling stations. It has significantly expanded over the past few years. This means there's usually a filling station nearby! And did you know that our network extends beyond Rolande filling stations? With our fuel card, you can also refuel at other Bio-LNG filling stations. Check out the complete overview: https://lnkd.in/e4vhH2SB #rolande #biolng #lng #network #sustainable #transport

What exactly is the well-to-wheel method? And what is it used for? Within sustainable transport, well-to-wheel (WTW) is a frequently used term. This method maps the total CO2 emissions when using a truck. It considers the total energy consumption and emissions throughout the entire life cycle: from raw material extraction to powering the truck. The added value of this approach? Considering the full life cycle gives you a complete view. This helps you to better understand the impact of your fuel choices. #rolande #biolng #lng #transport #co2reduction #welltowheel

Clear explanation! Bio-LNG is produced by fermenting waste and residual streams such as food waste and manure. The biggest advantage of driving on Bio-LNG is the significant reduction in CO2 emissions. By working together and embracing renewable fuels as fully-fledged alternatives, we can achieve our ambitious CO2 targets.

With new faces stepping in post-EU elections, it is crucial to introduce the biogas sector and its key role in realising a vision for a greener and more sustainable Europe. 🌱 What is biogas? It is a renewable energy source produced from organic matter such as household and industrial waste, sewage sludge, urban wastewater, and manure. This process supports the shift to circularity by turning waste into valuable energy, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. Biogas can provide renewable heat and power as well as green fuel. The residues from biogas production also offer significant benefits: bio-CO2 can be reused in various industries, and the nutrient-rich matter left behind in the digester is ideal for organic farming, completing the cycle of organic waste use. 🎥 Watch our video to find out more. #biogas #biomethane #sustainable

Nothing wrong with taking a pause to reflect on your successes. 𝙏𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 was packed with milestones. Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane! ➢ 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙞𝙤-𝙇𝙉𝙂 In 2020, Rolande was the first to introduce Bio-LNG into the Dutch market. With Bio-LNG, heavy road transport can make the shift to a green, sustainable future. ➢ 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 With the introduction of a station in Ulm, we made an important step in the expansion of a covering European Bio-LNG network. The construction of other Rolande stations in Germany would soon follow. Today the counter stands at 8. ➢ 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙜𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 By joining forces with our partner G&V, we’ve been able to create a covering Bio-LNG network in Belgium. The first Belgian Rolande station was developed in Antwerp. Soon after, 4 more stations were added throughout Belgium. #wearerolande #throughtheyears #biolng #network #GenV #belgium #ulm #germany

With summer just around the corner, it can be tempting to refuel Bio-LNG in a T-shirt and shorts. But truck drivers should always be careful: Bio-LNG is -162 degrees Celsius and even a tiny drop can cause frostbite. Therefore, it's mandatory to always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while refueling, even in sunny weather. This includes closed shoes, safety glasses, cryogenic gloves, long sleeves and long pants. Safety comes first, in every season! #rolande #safety #ppe #biolng #lng

Aiming to achieve CO2 reduction targets and make your transport more sustainable? Then Bio-LNG is an excellent option! This locally produced fuel has many advantages. The most important one is the significant reduction in CO2 emissions. From the production of Bio-LNG to its combustion in the engine of a truck (well-to-wheel), the emissions are much lower than those of fossil diesel. This is due to the fact that Bio-LNG is not of fossil origin, but is instead made from biological waste. Bio-LNG has many more advantages. Switch to Bio-LNG to benefit immediately. Start your transition towards sustainable transport today! #rolande #biolng #lng #co2reduction #sustainabe
