A big welcome to our 2024 cohort! On Monday PortXL held its annual kick-off event at the RDM in Rotterdam. A group of 10 start-ups and scale-ups from Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, the UK and the USA were introduced by Christel Pullens and Mitja Caboni and presented themselves to the gathered group of partners and mentors. With the help of our partners and other stakeholders we selected a group of young, innovative companies who have come up with interesting solutions for problems, inefficiencies and wishes in the maritime industry and its niche-markets. Smart technology and sustainability are at the forefront of what these scale-ups and start-ups aim to achieve. The new cohort consists of @Akros Energy, CarbonBlue, CLCircular, Excess Materials Exchange, Fjuel, HalioGEN Power, NAUTI, Omni Wind, SeaO2, and SEADAR. We encourage everyone to have a look at their technologies! Thanks to our lead partners Port of Rotterdam and Van Oord, and our partners GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz), Gemeente Rotterdam, Damen, and MINDbase (the Innovation Hub of the MINDEF (NL). We are looking forward to working with you and the cohort, propelling growth, maturity and setting up concrete collaborations. We’re also happy to see that the mentors and members of the Rotterdam and Dutch innovation ecosystem are already connecting with our programme’s participants. At the drinks reception many animated conversations and exchanges of knowledge and ideas were sparking up. Let’s continue on this path in the coming weeks! #innovation #startups #portxl #maritime #sustainability
