It offers a two-stage accelerator program that introduces early-stage CDR founders to the CDR space, connects them with relevant ecosystem stakeholders, and addresses individual challenges on their entrepreneurial journeys. This strategic academic partnership will allow us to amplify our impact in India in a thoughtful and additional way, with local context in mind. We will be working closely with Dr. Vikram Vishal, Geologic CO2 storage/CCUS expert and Professor at the DEPARTMENT OF EARTH SCIENCES-IIT BOMBAY. 🎉 More exciting fundraising news from our #CDR community! Once again, our community is making big moves with some awesome funding updates. 🚀 Phlair secures €14.5 million in seed funding, including €2.5 million from an EIC Accelerator program grant. This funding will help them roll out two first-of-a-kind (#FOAK) direct air capture (#DAC) plants, Electra 01 and Electra 02, set to launch in 2025. It’s also paving the way for their larger commercial plant, Project Dawn, which aims to capture over 20,000 tons of CO2 per year and is expected to go live in 2026. 👏 Congratulations: Malte Feucht, Steffen Garbe, Paul Teufel and the whole team! It was great seeing so many familiar faces in person while enjoying two packed days of presentations, panels and networking around carbon removal. 🔎 During the event, our co founder and MD, Marian Krueger took the stage to present our latest findings from our updated study on CDR startups with our friends from sus.lab | ETH.
