Day two of EXPO REAL (Messe München) is about to begin and we are ready for it to be as good as day one! We have had a great start yesterday. Our stand B1.310 was really buzzing with activity, hosting many meetings with existing and new business relations. It was so wonderful to see so many people taking the time to meet with our team, and to join us for our 25yrs anniversary drinks, during which Neil Slater - now with us for one year - expressed his gratitude on behalf of all of us at Redevco to our partners for helping us build the business to what it is today. The BaanTower is truly is remarkable and fully aligned with our believe that mixed-use residential developments are essential for the future of cities. Not only affordable, but high-quality and offering communal facilities , these homes will contribute to a sustainable, social, and inclusive Rotterdam. Dutch Networking Event – edition four A great keynote speaker Diederik Samsom in the late afternoon, followed by drinks and bites in a festival-like decor of food trucks, a cocktail bar, and jazzy live music formed the perfect setup for representatives from the Dutch Real Estate industry to reconvene and network after the summer holiday. The fourth edition of our Redevco NL Networking event was well-attended with around 100 guests, all key relations of our Dutch team, gathering to learn about the creation of the Green Deal, and discuss how we could and should accelerate the transformation of the built environment to create a positive impact for people and planet. Having so many of our valued relations together also provided the opportunity to (re-)introduce Redevco in light of our 25th anniversary. In a short Q&A moderated by Sandy Nijhuis, Dutch Portfolio Director Vincent Bacas and our CFO Manolito van Ardenne shared our growth & diversification ambitions, both on a local level as well as in an international context. 📣 Redevco’s SBTi target is approved 📣 Great news! We are delighted to share that our near-term (2030) science-based emissions reduction target is approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)! We join around 6,000 businesses around the world that are already working with SBTi. But only around 130 real estate companies in Europe have an approved target! Our 1.5oC-aligned target has been formulated as: “Redevco B.V. commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 58.5% by 2030 from 2019 base year. Redevco B.V. also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 46.2% within the same timeframe.” The latest climate science from the IPCC - described by the UN as “code red for humanity”- shows it is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C, but we are dangerously close to that threshold. As we move into an age of climate awareness and global warming, we, at Redevco, take this responsibility seriously in light of future generations and strive to meet our targets as best we can. We're thrilled to share that our property refurbishment on the corner of Oxford street/James street is well on it's way 🎉. The Redevco branding has been installed on the Oxford Street scaffolding, and we have also prepared the roof in readiness for the new rooftop garden 🌿 . We're on track to deliver the retail space by the end of November 2024 and hand over the new Cat A office floorplates on levels 2 and 3, featuring significantly increased glazing and new tenants facilities, in April 2025. This project represents a complete repositioning of the building, with quality workspace and amenities, including:   - Subdivision of five floors of vacant retail space into three floors of retail and two new office floors (2nd and 3rd Floors). - Significant upgrade of office reception, common areas and facilities offered to facilitate lettings/future proof. - Addition of quality end-of-journey facilities. - A new roof terrace to allow for range of occupier uses/wellbeing provision, complete with PV panels and battery storage. - An extensive new property technology package and sustainability enhancements. - Net Zero Carbon in operation. - WELL Gold certification. Redevco is proud to announce that the collaboration with artist Jace now extends to the entire façade of the hashtag #BPM building! Just in time for the Olympics our monumental 126 Rivoli building has been covered by a gigantic work of art to ensure the road remains safe and pedestrians can move around freely while the façade is being refurbished. The scaffolding covers all 8 floors of the Haussmann-style building, including a rooftop, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m².
