On 6 June 2024, Minister Micky Adriaansens of Economic Affairs and Climate Affairs officially opened the brand-new, ultra-modern office and laboratory building for Johnson & Johnson at the Leiden Bio Science Park. This 13,500 m2 GFA building is a paragon of innovation and cooperation. The integral, ambitious collaboration between RED Company, Powerhouse Company, and FOR Janssen VOF has resulted in an extremely sustainable and high-quality building. It has been certified with a BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold certificate. Health, safety, interaction, and transparency were the core values in the development, with the design being fully tailored to the wishes and requirements of the users. The atrium on the ground and first floor contain shared functions. Roof lights allow daylight to penetrate the building, creating an inviting space for employees and visitors. Laboratories are located on the first two floors and offices are on the floors above. On the third floor, employees have access to a communal garden and roof terrace, contributing to a healthy and pleasant working environment. The project is part of the Leiden Bio Science Park, one of the leading Science parks in Europe. We want to thank our partners and collaborators for making this project a success.
