We enable the quantum revolution with our proprietary control stack technology.

Over ons

At Qblox we operate at the frontier of the quantum revolution. With a dedicated team of scientists, engineers and developers we are pushing quantum technology to support scientists worldwide with our scalable and low-latency qubit control equipment. We are the sole providers of quantum control stacks that can be easily integrated with our customers’ quantum computers. The stacks combine unlevelled noise performance, low-latency arbitrary control flows and can be scaled up to 100s of qubits. Our company is based in the Netherland and a spinoff of QuTech, which enables us to implement the latest scientific insights and take a position upfront in the worldwide race towards quantum advantage.

We'd like to send off September with a celebration of a Qblox milestone. On September 6, 2018, Qblox was officially founded as a spinout, starting with a small team right next to the Delft University of Technology labs. This year, we've grown to over 100 employees, opened our own building, and continued leading the way in quantum control technology. Having initially grown the company fully independently, in 2024 we have closed our first investment round to drive future growth and innovation. Here's to more milestones ahead in the quantum race! #Qblox

Quantum computing is shifting from research-focused projects to enterprise solutions. What was once built in-house by field leaders is now part of a value-chain, with each system assembled from high-quality, specialized components—driving better scalability and reliability for commercial use. Qblox falls within the quantum computers and processors, or the control stack, element of the value chain. The Global Quantum Computing startups report offers an overview of the startups starting to provide those components: https://hubs.ly/Q02Rtftv0

There's a Qblox Cluster humming away in a lab in Taiwan that has helped the Spin Quantum Information Lab to control a spin qubit within a few hours. Professor Tzu-Kan Hsiao leads a young research team working on quantum dot spin experiments. Their goals are to make novel spin qubits for quantum computation, to study quantum many-body systems, and to convert spin quantum information into light or sound. Here's what they shared with us about their expereince with the Cluster: "Qblox cluster is certainly one of the most important elements in our new spin qubit lab. The easy-to-use and compact system allows us to set up a spin qubit control system within a couple of hours. We have used it for the RF reflectometry readout of our first in-house quantum dot! I look forward to getting more exciting results by using the Qblox cluster. What I also appreciate is the good communication and friendship between Qblox and the customers."

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at our booth during IEEE Quantum Week #QCE24! We had a great time connecting with attendees and sharing insights into #Qblox's modular quantum architecture. It was a pleasure demonstrating our quantum control solutions and discussing the future of quantum technology at the workshops. We truly enjoyed our time in Canada and look forward to continuing these exciting conversations.

Thank you those who provided expert insight at this workshop, and also to everyone who attended. This level of collaboration is so important in this fast-moving field, and we look forward to more sessions later this week at IEEE QCE. Our next workshop, WKS36: Real-time decoding and control of fault-tolerant systems, takes place on Friday. You'll also be able to find Niels Bultink at WKS13: Classical Control Systems for Quantum Computing at 10 AM (GMT-4) today.

We have just wrapped Day 1 @IEEE #qce24 Workshop Sessions « WKS06 Pulse-Level Languages, Interfaces, and Intermediate Representations » Great presentations and very insightful discussions throughout the day with Anurag Saha Roy Qruise, Jamie Friel Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), Santiago Núñez-Corrales, Ph.D. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dominic Lennon QuantrolOx, Thomas Alexander IBM, Moritz Kirste Zurich Instruments, Aniket Dalvi Duke University, Daniel J. Weigand Qblox My personal 3 takeaways: 1. Pulse level access will continue to be important in the next 3-5 years. 2. To get the most out of this we need to collaborate across the whole software stack 3. The field is moving at a very rapid pace and we expect major changes on a yearly basis. Improving the performance of your compiler is not an easy task. If you want to discuss your challenges and possible solutions, we are happy to chat about it! Pass by our booth # 411.
