🗞In een interview van Atradius Dutch State Business met Renze Boersema en Marjolein Van Noort van de KVNR | Koninklijke Vereniging van Nederlandse Reders stond het mogelijk maken van de financiering van duurzame schepen centraal. 🎯 Voor een #toekomstbestendige #maritieme #sector is toegang tot beschikbare en betaalbare financiering essentieel. 💡 Drie punten uit het interview die wij graag benadrukken: 🚢 Er is al sprake van een grote #investeringsuitdaging voor het vervangen van Nederlandse schepen. De kapitaalbehoefte zal enkel toenemen doordat zowel reders als scheepsbouwers en toeleveranciers willen investeren in schone en innovatieve schepen. #Innoveren gaat gepaard met hogere risico’s wat zich vervolgens weer uit in hogere prijzen. 🚢 Het financieringslandschap in Europa bestaat voornamelijk uit #banken, welke uiteraard cruciaal zijn om een internationaal concurrerende zeevaart te realiseren. Maar met enkel financiering vanuit banken redden we het niet. Er is veel baat bij een mix van publieke-, private fondsen, banken, overheidsgaranties en verzekeringen. Nieuwe structuren en oplossingen zijn nodig om op internationaal niveau te blijven concurreren. 🚢 Om de transitie naar schone #brandstoffen te bewerkstellen, is er behoefte aan een nieuwe infrastructuur die zorgt dat dergelijke brandstoffen beschikbaar zijn.
