Our reflections from exchanges during European Pro Bono Week: what is pro bono & how can we make it effective?

Our events during European Pro Bono Week were a succes! The conversations were intense - in a good way - leaving us tired & inspired! We share our reflections below. We're pleased to welcome Jasmijn de Zeeuw from Free Press Unlimited as a speaker at Monday's #probono Legal Workshop for #civilsociety: "Navigating the Legal Field of Defamation: Risk, Liability and SLAPPs". I'm excited to participate in this legal workshop! It's important for journalists, activists and others in civil society to learn which tools and resources are available to them when facing the risk of SLAPPs."

"The topics of the 2024 Round Table & giving NGO's insight into the workings of law firms are so relevant. Strategic litigation requires immense capacity and resource mobilization through preparatory research and strategy building and often becomes too heavy of a load for an organization to carry alone. It can be challenging to know how and when to call in support from someone from the outside. I'm pleased to be able to share my own experience of the past 10 years with participants.
