Pro Bono Connect

Afgelopen donderdag kwamen bijna 30 deelnemers van verschillende maatschappelijke organisaties samen voor de workshop "Arbeidsrecht voor maatschappelijke organisaties”, gepresenteerd door Stibbe-advocaten Jeanne Leeman en Alexander Collot d'Escury. Tijdens deze workshop werden belangrijke vragen behandeld, zoals: wat zijn de rechten en plichten van vrijwilligers? Waar moet je als organisatie op letten bij het werken met internationale medewerkers en ZZP'ers? De deelnemers kregen antwoorden op praktische vragen en deelden onderling waardevolle tips. De workshop werd afgesloten met een netwerkborrel, waar de gesprekken verder gingen. Veel dank aan Stibbe voor het hosten van deze workshop en voor de inspirerende en informatieve presentatie! Met evenementen zoals deze bieden wij maatschappelijke organisaties en pro bono advocaten de kans om elkaar te leren kennen en kennis uit te wisselen. Houd onze website, nieuwsbrief en LinkedIn-pagina in de gaten voor aankomende evenementen. Last Thursday, nearly 30 participants from various civil society organizations came together for the workshop "Employment Law for Civil Society Organizations", presented by Stibbe lawyers Jeanne Leeman and Alexander Collot d'Escury. During the workshop, key questions were addressed, including: What are the rights and obligations of volunteers? What should organizations consider when working with international employees and freelancers (ZZP’ers)? Participants received practical answers to their questions and exchanged valuable tips among themselves. The workshop concluded with a networking reception, where conversations continued. We extend our gratitude to Stibbe for hosting this workshop and for their inspiring and informative presentation! Through events like this, we provide civil society organizations and pro bono lawyers the opportunity to connect and share knowledge. Our reflections from exchanges during European Pro Bono Week: what is pro bono & how can we make it effective?

Our events during European Pro Bono Week were a succes! The conversations were intense - in a good way - leaving us tired & inspired! We share our reflections below. I'm excited to participate in this legal workshop! It's important for journalists, activists and others in civil society to learn which tools and resources are available to them when facing the risk of SLAPPs."
