🏆✨ PGGM feliciteert zorgvernieuwer Teun Toebes en filmmaker Jonathan de Jong met het winnen van een Gouden Kalf voor de documentaire Human Forever! Teun en Jonathan laten met deze documentaire zien hoe wij als samenleving omgaan met mensen met dementie, zowel in Nederland als daarbuiten. Dementie is een onderwerp dat ons allemaal aangaat. De kans is 1 op 5 dat iemand in zijn leven dementie krijgt en bij vrouwen is dit zelfs 1 op 3. Deze ziekte raakt zo niet alleen ons persoonlijke leven, maar ook de zorg- en welzijnssector en de professionals die hierin werken in het bijzonder. We zijn dan ook trots dat wij deze documentaire mede mogelijk hebben gemaakt en dat Teuns humane visie en inspiratie over de hele wereld verspreid wordt. #GoudenKalf #HumanForever #Dementie #Zorg #Welzijn #PGGM

During #ClimateWeekNYC, 36 U.S. General Partners participated in our workshop, "The Business Case and Playbook for Decarbonization”, that we co-organized with APG and AlpInvest Partners.   The workshop is one of the engagement activities PGGM undertakes to reach our ultimate goal that companies align their strategies with the objective of the UN Paris Agreement of limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, but preferably 1.5 degrees Celsius.   Experts in the space Anthesis Group, ERM Group, Ramboll, and Rappel facilitated inspirational workshop sessions and shared practical tools. It was great to see the commitment of the participants to the topic. Their thoughtful questions and willingness to share insights made the workshop an enriching learning experience for everyone involved. We look forward to continuing the conversation and the journey of decarbonization.   And a special thanks to Ropes & Gray LLP for hosting the workshop.

PGGM'ers genieten van soep die de wereld beter (s)maakt   Sinds september 2023 werken Sodexo en PGGM samen met Soupalicious, een initiatief waarbij voor elke verkochte kop soep ook één kop wordt gedoneerd aan de voedselbank. Gisteren vierden we het één-jarig jubileum van onze samenwerking en dat we in totaal meer dan 26.000 koppen soep hebben verkocht en gedoneerd aan de voedselbank.   Arnold Veenema namens PGGM en Marielle Hoop namens de voedselbank, vierden dit met een lekker kopje soep. Marielle werkt ook bij PGGM, wat de samenwerking extra bijzonder maakt. 

#MomoMedical heeft met de BedSense app een prachtige oplossing ontwikkeld ter ondersteuning van medewerkers in verpleeghuizen. Deze wordt al door 250 instellingen in Nederland gebruikt, en MomoMedical verwacht dat er nog vele zullen volgen. Voor zijn groeistrategie heeft deze onderneming 6,5 miljoen euro opgehaald. #PGGM is een van de nieuwe financiers met geld van Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn. Launching Sector Guides 📚 PGGM is focused on long-term value creation by encouraging sustainability. Our active ownership covers four key themes: climate change, health, human rights, and nature & biodiversity. We are pleased to release the first in a series of sector-specific guides shaping our engagement with companies. These guides set expectations for industries where these themes are most relevant. The initial guides cover oil & gas, aviation, food, and healthcare. ✈ For example, the aviation industry's CO2 emissions and their impact on global warming highlight the need for science-based emission targets and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). We also urge airlines to take into account biodiversity impacts when sourcing SAF. At the Nike AGM on Sept 10th, PGGM Investments, on behalf of pension fund Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW), will vote FOR Shareholder Proposal Number 6 on worker-driven social responsibility, which we have co-filed. The resolution requests Nike to report on implementing worker-driven social responsibility and binding agreements to address human rights issues in high-risk countries.
