ITW EAE will be holding a free webinar on SOLDERING THT COMPONENTS – WAVE, REFLOW or SELECTIVE on June 6 (11:00 am EST) WEBINAR DESCRIPTION The through-hole technology dates back to the 50's and was primarily accomplished through hand or wave soldering processes. It involves inserting components leads through drilled copper plated holes in printed circuit boards and solder them. Through hole components can contact necessary conductive layers. Solder joint offer more robust mechanical connections are less susceptible to mechanical stress or vibration and can handle more electrical power. ITWEAE offer three technologies to solder THT components: reflow, wave, and selective. Each have their specific benefit and challenges. After a in depth research among available suppliers and systems, MBtech’s N29 machine was selected. The N29 will remove all remaining solder paste in 4 minutes, thanks to the patented ultrasonic cleaning technology. MBtech’s closed-loop filtration system and Zestron’s Hydron SC300 cleaning agent will guarantee good cleaning results. The system offers the lowest energy and cleaning agent consumption and longest bath life in our industry.
