Fifth and last daily report from OUTtv CEO Marc Putman Friday: Amsterdam Dinner and STD Prevention The vote counting went smoothly last night, and my city, Utrecht, had the highest turnout at 55.9% among all the major cities. This trend was also evident at our polling station. It was encouraging to see that pro-EU parties performed better than the polls had indicated. This morning, I have an appointment at the GGD in Amsterdam because the number of STD infections among the gay men demographic has significantly increased in recent years. Particularly, the rise of Chemsex (the use of various drugs during sex) is leading to a higher risk of STDs and HIV. With the GGD, we will discuss increasing education and prevention through our OUTtv and social media channels. In the afternoon, I will speak to our Polish colleague about the progress of our ambition to launch our TV channel in Poland as well. Following the election victory of the Europe-friendly parties in Poland last November, the position of the LGBTI community is no longer being undermined, and this offers a perspective to strengthen our position in this country with more than 40 million inhabitants—especially after our acquisition of the queer film distributor, Tongariro. Some distribution partners now seem willing to introduce our channel, which was impossible until a year ago. I will end the day with a short call with the organization of the Amsterdam Dinner, which will take place tomorrow/Saturday, June 8th at AFAS. This is the largest charity dinner in the Benelux, originated in the 1980s by (gay) restaurateurs to raise funds for research into the rapidly spreading HIV virus. After more than 30 successful editions and a record amount of 1.35 million raised last year, OUTtv will handle the live broadcast of the red carpet and then the recording of this event. Eurovision winner Loreen will perform, and the focus will be on the position of women with HIV. Many notables will be present at the most sought-after dinner of the year, with Princess Mabel of Orange as the hostess. Tomorrow, I will wear my newly acquired badge as a Knight in the Order of Orange for the first time, and it is a yearly highlight for me. I am curious about how this year's theme, "Face The Future," has been incorporated into Princess Mabel’s outfit by designers Victor and Rolf. I am looking forward to a fantastic weekend and am grateful that my work allows me to contribute to increasing the acceptance of our LGBTI target group in our society. Cinesa present Pride Nights in cooperation with OUTtv Starting June 24th, in celebration of Pride Month, the company will screen various LGBTIQ themed films. From August, these screenings will take place monthly at Pride Nights, on the first Thursday of each month. With this initiative, Cinesa reinforces its commitment to inclusion and diversity. June is coloured with the hues of the Pride flag, and Cinesa, the leading cinema exhibition chain in Spain, is working with OUTtv to offer recurring Pride Nights, a series of film events dedicated to the Spanish LGBTIQ community. These events will feature films specially selected to give voice to the stories and experiences of the community. From June 24th to July 4th, coinciding with Pride Month, Cinesa will promote a special programming focused on LGBTIQ stories. This initiative will continue from August for the rest of the year, with screenings taking place during Pride Nights, held on the first Thursday of each month. “Pride Nights not only aim to offer high-quality entertainment, but also form part of Cinesa’s commitment to the LGBTIQ community. For us, it is very important to promote inclusivity and convey the message that in our cinemas, all sexual orientations and gender identities can enjoy the best films in an environment of respect and diversity. Moreover, with Pride Nights we will offer very interesting programming with stories about the community that will make us reflect,” said Ramón Biarnés, Managing Director of North and South Europe for Cinesa. The Best Films to Celebrate Pride Pride Month will begin at Cinesa on June 24th with the screening of the film La Bella Estate, available until June 26th. Norwegian Dream will be the second film, screening from June 25th to June 27th. Pride Month will continue in July, with the screening of the dramatic comedy Dramarama from Monday, July 1st to Wednesday, July 3rd, and will conclude with Potato Dreams of America, available from July 2nd to July 4th. Cinesa commits to keep celebrating the LGBTIQ community with its recurring Pride Nights. In August, cinema lovers will be able to enjoy 15 Years, and in September the film A Wake. Throughout the year, upcoming screenings can be checked on the website (cinesa.es) and on Cinesa’s social media networks. About Cinesa Cinesa is the leading cinema exhibition company in Spain, thanks to the 11 million viewers who visit one of its more than 400 screens across 35 cinemas located in prime locations in Spain’s major cities each year. Highlights include the 14 cinemas in Madrid and the 6 in Barcelona. Cinesa is part of the ODEON Cinemas Group, the largest exhibitor in Europe, which operates in 9 countries with more than 290 cinemas, 2,500 screens, and over 9,000 employees. In 2016, the Group was acquired by AMC Theatres, creating the world’s largest cinema exhibition company.

Fourth daily report from OUTtv CEO Marc Putman Thursday: Europe Anchors Our LGBTI Diversity My morning starts with my personal trainer, Robbin, whom I haven't seen in four weeks. During my stay abroad, my discipline slipped a bit, so today I'm tackling it again, albeit reluctantly. The first appointment at the office is with our finance department to discuss our business results and see how our forecasts match our expectations. Since 2018, for investments and expansion into new countries, we have received targeted European support for making our queer content (digitally) available. Additionally, our film distribution companies receive European subsidies for the release of our European films. For this, we must frequently provide reports, and our finance department prepares the necessary data. Another challenge is reporting royalties for exploitation within the various countries and exploitation windows. For some time, we have been building an integrated ICT tool so that we can deliver these reports automatically. Before noon, I have a project meeting with the involved parties to discuss the progress.Today, the European elections are imminent, and by the end of the afternoon, I will fulfill my civic duty by serving as chairman of the polling station in my neighborhood for the second part of the day. Although the impact of Europe often seems remote for many citizens, the European Union plays a very important and unifying role for our LGBTI community. Diversity is one of the core values of Europe, and thanks to the support and active role of the European Union, minorities are actively protected and supported. Therefore, the stance and relationship with the EU are of great importance to our company. As chairman, I coordinate the voting process and ensure that the election is orderly and according to electoral law. From 9:00 PM, when the last citizen has voted, the counting of the votes begins, and I prepare the official report to ensure the voting has complied with the law. The vote counting is public, so if you want to attend the process at your own polling station, you can register after closing time. Since the European elections take place over several days in different countries (from Thursday, June 6 to Sunday, June 9), the municipality may only publish the results on Sunday evening, June 9. Third daily report from OUTtv CEO Marc Putman Wednesday: PRIDE month on OUTtv Today is my first day back at our office in Utrecht. I've been abroad for the past three weeks. The first week and a half was spent attending the Cannes Film Festival to screen and potentially acquire new films, followed by a few days of vacation in Ibiza, and finally in Barcelona to finalize our partnership between our film distribution arm and the Spanish cinema chain CINESA. During our biweekly management team meeting, we discuss both updates to our strategic goals and operational matters. On the agenda today, among other things, is the implementation of our live events during the Pride season in July and August. From mid-July, we will be broadcasting various European Pride celebrations live on our TV channels, including Amsterdam (in collaboration with AVROTROS), Cologne, Antwerp (in collaboration with Proximus), and Madrid. During this period, we also produce PRIDE talk shows, where local prominent figures from our community are given a platform. It's a wonderful way to enhance visibility and awareness of our lifestyle for all viewers. During these Pride months, several distribution partners will open our channel for 'free', allowing as many viewers as possible to enjoy it. It's always good to be back in the office after some time away and to see my colleagues in Utrecht. In addition to several one-on-one meetings, I have a phone call scheduled with a party that is heavily involved in AI tools related to translating TV programs. Localizing our content into so many different languages is a major cost for the company and takes considerable time. Currently, we mainly use subtitles, but in many countries, dubbing programs into the local language is the standard. I want to stay on top of technical developments to integrate these 'dubbing' tools into our workflow. Finally, I will follow up on various emails regarding my visit to Cannes and other content deals that are not yet finalized. For the evening, I have planned to visit the old Luxor in Rotterdam with my parents to attend the cabaret show 'Even tot Hier'. De Nederlandse versie is te lezen via: https://lnkd.in/d_bayXAa

Second daily report from OUTtv CEO Marc Putman Tuesday: Cinema Pride Night Fortunately, the launch Pluto TV went well yesterday; there are still a few minor things, such as adding the correct EPG data for some channels. Our partner Media Choice has achieved a particularly impressive piece of technology for optimizing advertisers' commercials within their broadcasting operation. The workday begins with our weekly PRO-FUN meeting, where we discuss the progress of our operations in Germany and Spain. In Germany, we are currently focusing on preparing theatrical releases for this summer and the upcoming fall with new movies like Belle Estate and Love & Revolution. We are also evaluating marketing actions around the latest DVD sales figures. And yes, you read that right – DVDs are still being sold in Germany! It's interesting to see how traditional and digital media still complement each other there. In Spain, we recently established a new entity together with our Spanish agent. Through our film distribution arm, Cinemien, we will organize a Pride Night at the largest cinema chain, CINESA, during this Pride month of June in over 35 large complex cinemas. Every two weeks, a new movie is released, which is an appropriate way to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in the cinema during this Pride month. Preparations for this are in full swing. Additionally, we are in discussions with another major cinema chain to introduce this Pride Night concept in the UK and Portugal this fall. Later in the day, I prepare to finalize an agreement that will expand our channel OUTtv via DigiTV in Belgium and Spain this summer. Our distribution expansion is progressing steadily, as linear TV distribution remains a key pillar of our business. Simultaneously, we see that the numbers of subscribers to our streaming services continue to grow; together with our European partner Amazon Prime, we will soon launch new premium channel propositions in Finland, Portugal, and Ireland. These are important steps that further expand our reach in Europe. At the end of the day, I will fly back from Barcelona to Amsterdam in the evening. * The trade journal for the broadcast industry, 'Broadcast Magazine,' has asked our founder and CEO Marc Putman to document his activities for one week, thus offering readers a glimpse behind the scenes of the breadth in which OUTtv Media operates within the European media landscape. The trade journal for the broadcast industry, 'Broadcast Magazine,' has asked our founder and CEO Marc Putman to document his activities for one week, thus offering readers a glimpse behind the scenes of the breadth in which OUTtv Media operates within the European media landscape. Monday: Launch of PRIDEtv on PLUTO Today is an important day for us: we are exclusively launching on Paramount's platform PLUTO, the largest FAST* platform and the fastest-growing branch in our media landscape. Here we are introducing our new offering PRIDEtv, a queer programming channel featuring primarily short format content (shorts, music, documentaries, miniseries) in more than 34 countries. Our partners, Your Channels and Media Choice, have worked hard over the past months to implement this technology and make the launch possible. They have processed hundreds of items, created separate feeds for various European countries, and now we are active for the first time across Latin America. Adding FAST to our portfolio not only offers commercial exploitation opportunities but also a new marketing tool to entice viewers into paid conversion to our premium content. My afternoon starts with a Teams call with our international acquisition team to discuss the results of the Cannes Film Festival. We have already acquired several new films and completed deals on the spot, and for some films, we still need to further negotiate and assess the exploitation potential. Among others, we have acquired the impressive Belgian film AMAL, the Brazilian film Perfect Endings, and the Italian TV series The Club. We focus on queer stories that provide a global cultural representation of our LGBTI community. At 2:00 PM, I have a meeting with the European Commission, our international sales partner Brandadvance, and Paramount. To support our technical launch today, we will organize a Rainbow Brunch on Thursday, June 20th, during PRIDE Day at the Lions Festival in Cannes and formally launch the PRIDEtv channels. Together with the cabinet of the Euro Commissioner for Equality, Mrs. Monti, Ellen, Vice President of Paramount and founder of PLUTO, Olivier, and Chris from Brandadvance, we will discuss the speeches and the panel discussion. We have also invited former Eurovision winner and OUTMedia Award winner Conchita Wurst to musically support the launch. After this meeting, I have planned to prepare a presentation for a new lead in Latin America interested in selling our proposition in this region to local operators. In the evening, I will play a game of padel with my Spanish neighbor to burn off the calories from this workday and clear my mind. De Nederlandse versie is te lezen via: https://lnkd.in/dRxru6na
