The Singapore International Water Week has come to a successful close!🎉 This Friday, we wrapped up an incredible week at our Netherlands pavilion on a high note. Not only were we visited by the Singapore delegation, but the Hong Kong delegation also stopped by, making for a busy yet highly productive day. And that sentiment applies to the entire SIWW! From the moment the pavilion was opened on Wednesday by Anneke Adema, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Singapore, the event flew by with a flurry of in-depth talks, forums, and workshops. Highlights included the lecture by Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize winner Gertjan Medema, the Netherlands and Southeast Asia Water Tech Innovation Forum, and the Flanders and Netherlands Networking Event. It was an absolute pleasure hosting these sessions. If you visited us, we hope you found the experience inspiring. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the Netherlands pavilion and look forward to seeing you again soon. A transformative Thursday at Singapore International Water Week!💡 We hosted 'The Netherlands Business Forum' featuring leading Dutch companies showcasing innovative water solutions. Moderated by programme coordinator of Partners for Water; Liliane Geerling, it was a great success. We also welcomed the Water Authority Shenzhen Municipality, who shared insights on flood control, soil and water conservation, and sewage treatment. In the afternoon, we toured Marina Barrage with Netherlands water envoy Meike van Ginneken, organised by the Public Utilities Board, learning about Singapore's water loop system and future business opportunities. The day concluded with an ‘Industry Night’ networking event, hosted by Flanders and The Netherlands, fostering cross-border connections.🤝 The atmosphere at the Netherlands pavilion is fantastic. Check out the video for a glimpse of Dutch organisations in action. Tomorrow is the last day of SIWW, so don’t miss your chance to visit! #SIWW #SingaporeInternationalWaterWeek #RVO #Partnersforwater #NLPavilion #Netherlands #CoastalResiliance #Watermanagement #Innovations #Technology Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development, Ylva Veldhuis, Liliane Geerling, Tessy Miltenburg-Van den Brand, Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), Netherlands, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), Kim Demeyer, Bosman Watermanagement B.V., Deltares, Delta Marine Consultants Singapore, Van Oord, Fugro, Rodelta Pumps International B.V. Water quality in many countries has significantly deteriorated in recent years due to industry, plastic waste, and periods of drought and flooding. The urgency of these issues calls for our collective commitment to finding smart, technological solutions to use the available water more efficiently. The ASEAN region also aims to make better use of industrial wastewater or even reuse it, a goal that we can achieve together. Tomorrow starts the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW). The SIWW - held every two years - is a global platform that hosts global leaders from industry, government and research, to discuss and co-create, innovate water, coastal and flood solutions. This year, the focus will be on water technology and coastal and flood resilience, addressing issues that are of global concern and require collective action. A Dutch delegation of water experts - including the participation of Dutch water envoy Meike van Ginneken - will be attending the SIWW to discuss the water challenges in Southeast Asia. We invite you to visit the Netherlands Pavilion that will be located on Hall A, stand L1-F11. In addition to the Pavilion, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore will host several events to boost new partnerships and strengthen existing ones: https://lnkd.in/ez2cTxKf Join us in taking water action and discuss water solutions! The Netherlands and New York State have agreed to work together on the latest generation of semiconductors, specifically sustainable chip production and talent development. This week, during the semiconductor forum at NY CREATES Albany Nano Complex, Governor Kathy Hochul and Minister Liesje Schreinemacher for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Mảxima. They also visited the NY Creates, a tech hub on innovation and semiconductors and the IBM Research Centre. A business delegation comprising nearly 30 companies and institutes, under the leadership of Marc Hendrikse, chairman of Holland High Tech and VNO-NCW Chair Ingrid Thijssen embarked on a journey across Connecticut, New York, and Ontario. Their mission was clear: to expand networks, share knowledge, and pave the way for future collaborations, demonstrating the industry’s commitment to progress. The mission underscores the potential of Dutch expertise in the semiconductor industry and integrated photonics, with companies such as ASML ASM and NXP Semiconductors leading the way towards a promising future. Talent development takes centre stage in this partnership, with a clear focus on enhancing expertise in integrated photonics, chip design, advanced packaging, and equipment. These areas are crucial for the future of the semiconductor industry and will be key drivers of innovation and growth. USA, Canada and the Netherlands - together on a mission to connect high-tech ecosystems and enable a smart future through high-tech innovation! #Innovation #Semiconductors #NLintheUSA #Dutchinnovation Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat Netherlands Innovation Network in Boston Netherlands Enterprise Agency Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken
