The Agenda for the Swedish National Positioning, Navigation and Timing (#PNT) Workshop is Out! 🚀 We are thrilled to share the agenda for the upcoming National PNT Workshop on November 6th, 2024 in Stockholm, hosted by Rymdstyrelsen, the Swedish Space Agency, where we’ll dive into some of the most critical advancements and challenges in positioning, navigation, and timing (#PNT) technologies across key industries. We'll explore the latest innovations in positioning and navigation for autonomous vehicles, the impact of VHF Data Exchange Systems (#VDES) on maritime transportation and the exciting developments in precision PNT for drones and UAVs. Cyber-Certified Unmanned Traffic Management (#UTM) System for Safe Drone Integration🚁🛰️🌐 📢!!Register for the Final Presentation!!📢 🔍Learn more about the "Secure UTM" project, which developed a secure Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) system to integrate UAVs into Belgian airspace, featuring a cyber certification scheme, proof of concept, and rigorous security testing through audits and simulated attacks. Date: 25/09/2024 Time: 14:00-15:30 CEST The “Secure UTM” project, led by Unifly NV and Nexova Cyber S.A., aimed to create a secure Unmanned Traffic Management (#UTM) system for safely integrating Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAV) into existing airspace. The project proposed a cyber certification scheme for UTM systems, designed for use by certification bodies to ensure compliance with regulations, cybersecurity standards, and stakeholder feedback. A secure proof of concept (PoC) UTM system for Belgian airspace was developed by implementing identified mitigation measures. 🚁🛰️🌐 Extensive testing was carried out to assess the UTM system’s functionality and security, including a conformity assessment through an audit of security assurance requirements and controls. The system was further validated by simulated cybersecurity attacks conducted by penetration testers on the operational UTM platform, integrated into the demonstration testbed environment, which highlighted certain findings.🔎🛡️ Curious? e- Loran antenna for handheld devices📡📱📍 🔍Learn more about e-LORAN, a reliable low-frequency navigation system that offers enhanced accuracy, geo-security, and serves as a potential backup to GNSS, with new advancements making it accessible for handheld devices. 📢!!Register for the Final Presentation!!📢 Date: 04/09/2024 Time: 10:00-11:30 CEST Enhanced-LORAN (e-LORAN) is the latest version of the proven low-frequency LOng-RAnge Navigation (LORAN) system, offering Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services across various transport modes and applications. Operating at 90 to 110 kHz, e-LORAN can provide improved accuracy, availability, and geo-security with its jam- and spoof-resistant signals, making it a strong alternative and backup to GNSS.🗺️ However, the large size of traditional antennas for these low frequencies isn't suitable for handheld consumer devices, requiring miniaturization to maintain efficiency indoors and outdoors. To advance very low-frequency applications in PNT services, a new antenna with a dedicated Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) is being developed by Roke for handheld devices, ensuring user localization when GNSS is unavailable or degraded.
