We're delighted to announce that Malte Krambeer has joined the MemoryLab team as part of our research team. Malte Krambeer will be working on developing a method for automatically identifying anomalous learning behaviour in MemoryLab. The project will explore whether it is possible to determine if the answers recorded during a practice session in MemoryLab do indeed come from the learner who has logged in and not from someone else who may be helping them. If we can successfully distinguish between genuine learning behaviour and anomalous behaviour, that will make it easier for teachers to rely on MemoryLab as a tool for knowledge assessment in situations when they cannot directly supervise their students. Malte's work will be a valuable contribution to the NOLAI co-creation project with Marijn Van Der Meer, Montessori Scholengemeenschap Amsterdam and Gesa van den Broek, Utrecht University.

Today, we had another great educational day at #ZpannendZernike. It was great to see a wide range of audiences engage with our interactive Geheugen (Memory) challenge. Students, parents, and teachers were all eager to explore our adaptive learning platform and understand how much memory they retain. In this challenge, the participants had four minutes to take a lesson with our tools, after which we printed their response data and generated a personalised report. Overall, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with the public and demonstrate the benefits of our learning tools. We are thrilled with the positive response, shared curiosity, and interest in memory science! During the last year, we have been working with Microsoft in the Startups program, which supported us in focusing on our mission to impact digital education with the full support of the Microsoft ecosystem. Today Maarten van der Velde and Thomas Wilschut had a very productive meeting with Burcu Arslan ETS EMEA. The meeting focused on discussing the latest progress in our Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN) - funded "Personalised, Adaptive and Inclusive" project. Together, we have been conducting an extensive literature search and consulting experts, which will lead to developing new prototypes for testing in the classroom. After a deep analysis of the educational goals and a thorough implementation process, it is now accessible for all teachers and students at the RU. We are looking forward to seeing the impact of MemoryLab on the classroom readiness of students, the strengthening of their engagement and the empowerment of the educators. Our cognitive analysis of learning results and continuous evaluation of feedback from both teachers and students will help us keep improving our adaptive learning system and supporting educators at RU in replacing traditional testing methods with qualitative formative assessment.
