It's where everything comes together. Pieter Ravensbergen is a key player in our lab, contributing daily to both quality and development. He gives us a glimpse into the lab: "We conduct numerous measurements and even develop our own measurement methods. You might wonder what exactly we do. While the specifics are confidential, we can share that we test customer formulations to ensure their products are optimally sprayable. For instance, we perform droplet size tests, as not all droplets are created equal. We observe the visual outcomes and conduct precise measurements. One measurement is never enough, which is why we rely on the power of repetition and apply statistical analysis to our data. In the Netherlands we usually atomize perfume on the wrists or neck, while in France we prefer to walk through a cloud of atomized perfume. Everyone who has experienced our sprays in a perfume bottle agrees: no matter how you spray, the atomization method makes a world of difference. 𝐀𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭! Recently, Thomas Kolkman, Frank Verhoeven and Mark Scheeren from Medspray and Resyca visited the MAD (Medical Aerosol Thinktank). Members of MAD participate in working groups and exchange study results, experiences, and knowledge. Graduate student Mark shared his research on mapping nasal spray volume distribution using photo analysis of fluorescent properties. The main goal of his research was to develop a technique to map the volume distribution of nasal sprays through the nasal cavity. His research revealed that the soft mist nasal spray distributes a larger volume over a wide surface area, ensuring more efficient and even delivery compared to the swirl nozzle nasal spray. #medspray #resyca #teammedspray #medicalinnovation #aerosolresearch #MADthinktank

This time, we embarked on a puzzle quest in smaller teams. Along with brain teasers and deciphering Twentse phrases, we enjoyed traditional Dutch games. Some groups were more competitive than others, but in the end there was one winner. This year the charity is the Ronald Mcdonald Huiskamer Enschede. The Kennisparkrun not only brings Medspray together, but unites the entire Kennispark community. We manufacture plastic nozzles, but our production methods and waste management ensure that we do so as sustainably as possible. In addition, we consider the future when developing our products.
