How does music shape film and redefine storytelling? We explored this concept at ADsterdam festival earlier this month, held in partnership with Boomerang. Part of Publicis Groupe. Our own Cece Wyldeck, Director of Creative Development EMEA, hosted a Director’s Panel about how music can elevate creativity and transform visual storytelling. Directors Emma Branderhorst shared insights from her latest project, ‘Pieces of Me,’ which explored the dark side of sexting, featuring music from Dutch singer-songwriter Meau. Priya Ahluwalia emphasised how music videos offer unique freedom showcasing the music video 'Riot' she directed for artist Grace Carter. Coca-Cola has launched ‘It’s magic when the world comes together,’ a new brand film for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, celebrating the ‘Real Magic’ of human connection, inclusivity and cross-cultural connection and the collective power of sport to unify people in all their differences. We licensed the track “Rule The World” by Michael Kiwanuka, negotiating the usage of the song to be used to reach spectators across the world during this summer of sports.
