We @ No Such Ventures just invested €3m in Magic Lane to transform the location intelligence industry! It all started about 10 months ago with a short message from Raymond to me to meet up at Micromobility Industries's conference in Amsterdam. We invested because not only is the team, led by Raymond Alves and Johan Lanen one of the most knowledgeable we've ever seen 👩🚀, they are also literally changing how people interact with physical infrastructure by building the map, routing and navigation products of the future that: 📟 work on virtually any hardware (even runs on a Raspberry Pi Zero!) 🖥 can be embedded into any format: vehicles, mobile apps and platforms 📡 excels in privacy and stays working when you go offline 👩💻 are easily integrated into software in most coding languages via their SDKs But if you ask Raymond Alves he'll tell you that we should stop talking about that and focus on how that translates into a fast and easy to implement go-to-market for their customers - which tells you something about the ambitions of this team: they're not satisfied with building the best products, they also also adamant at creating the best business value for their customers. 💡 Next month Magic Lane will be once more at MicroMobility Europe, where Raymond Alves (and Tim Urlings!) will again share a message, but this time its not 12-word in-writing message targeting an investor but a public in-person message targeting anyone that is excited about the location intelligence of the future So whether you are an e-bike manufacturer, shared mobility operator, a logistics company, a charging pole operator, a mobile app for farmers or a producer of smart watches - if you are thinking about mapping and routing you want to talk to these guys!

Sometimes on LinkedIn, things can look like a life filled with highlights.  We all know that that’s never really the case, nor is it for me, obviously. Having said that, I would like to share some news which brings me joy. We made another investment - our fifteenth! - in what my colleagues and I think is a really cool and valuable company: Magic Lane A B2B SaaS location intelligence platform based in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Romania 🇷🇴 🗺️ Think a customizable and lightweight Google Maps, as Magic Lane provides maps, navigation, and driver-assistance software for apps, online platforms, devices, and vehicles, serving a global client base. Their tech-focused team is guided by two solid and experienced entrepreneurs 🧑🤝🧑: industry veteran Johan Lanen, co-creator of the first-ever route planner Route66, and Raymond Alves, co-founder of Kinly. May we together face any upcoming headwinds and bumpy roads, to hopefully successfully navigate to our planned destination 😉
