Wij willen eenย leefstijl programma ontwikkelen voor mensen na behandeling van kanker. ๐ Wij zoeken mensen die ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ค๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ซ die willen deelnemen aan een interview en/of groepsinterview. Aan allebei deelnemen mag ook. We willen met u in gesprek over de waarde van gezond leven en begeleiding bij gezond leven. Uw verhaal is nodig om de GLINK te ontwikkelen. ๐ฌ Het ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฐ duurt ongeveer 1 uur en kan zowel online als fysiek plaatsvinden. Using the Max-Combo test as primary analysis method for comparing survival outcomes between treatment arms in the presence of anticipated non-proportional hazards, the median overall survival in the arm without upfront PTR was 18.3 months (95% CI 16.0-22.2) compared to 20.1 months (95% CI 17.0-25.1) in the upfront PTR arm (p = 0.32). Upfront PTR added to palliative systemic therapy in patients with synchronous mCRC without severe symptoms of the primary tumor does not result in a survival benefit. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น ๐ก๐ถ๐ฒ๐ธ ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ช๐ถ๐ Last week Niek De Wit celebrated 35-years working at the UMC Utrecht, the Julius Center, and academic general practice, from which he now retires. As a professor of General Practice Niek importantly contributed to cancer research, focusing on topics such as improving the diagnostic work-up for cancer in general practice, the role of primary care in shared decision making for cancer treatment, addressing fear of cancer recurrence and surveillance of cancer survivors in primary care, and - more recently - the impact of COVID-19 on cancer diagnosis. In his farewell lecture, he emphasized the importance of collaboration, which is one of his core values. We thank Niek for his contributions to the cancer research field and beyond, and wish him to follow longstanding dreams and enjoy the rewards of a job well done. We warmly welcome Stefanie Veenhuizen who just started as a PhD Candidate on a World Cancer Research Fund project investigating the effect of yoga on endocrine therapy induced musculoskeletal symptoms in women with breast cancer, led by Evelyn Monninkhof, Roxanne Gal and Anne May. Stefanie: โโAs a yogi myself, I am very interested to see what yoga can do for these women. We know that muscle- and joint pain/stiffness is a major problem in women who use anti-hormonal therapy. Resuming life after a breast cancer diagnosis is hard already, and if I can make one aspect of that a little bit better, I am very happy to do so. Therefore, I am very excited to start with the trial, and canโt wait to see the results!โโ Best of luck Stefanie! Wow, IHI grants us the illuminate project where our recently developed metabolic MRI aims to guide Lutetium-177-PSMA treatment for prostate cancer while in parallel realizing innovative efficacy gains in isotope production. Our UMC Utrecht (co-lead Marnix Lam, Jannie Wijnen and Astrid Janssens) together with Philips, NRG, SDN, IBB-CNR, UNITO, Bracco, TeslaDC, Wavetronica, Lund University, Amsterdam UMC, UniKlinik Essen, EuroBioImaging and Lygature are preparing the grant agreement so to start this exciting 19M euro project in the coming five years.
