Het eerste bedrijf op het bedrijventerrein Dordtse Kil 3; IPCO B.V. 🏆 Inmiddels bestaat IPCO B.V. al 35 jaar! Zij leveren producten op het gebied van pijpleidingenbenodigdheden. Passie en vakmanschap staan hoog in het vaandel. Corine Meijerink is samen met wethouder Chris van Benschop op pad gegaan om dit bedrijf beter te leren kennen en te vernemen hoe ze het ondernemen in Dordrecht ervaren. Wouter van der Enden heeft ons meegenomen in de geschiedenis en het verloop van de onderneming tot nu toe. Vanaf 1997 is IPCO Power gestart. Zij ontwikkelen onder andere speciale installaties die op schepen worden gebruikt om de emissie te verlagen. Bart Sluimer heeft ons enthousiast kunnen meenemen in dit verhaal en in de uitdagingen met betrekking tot de CO-2 uitstoot, waar ze graag een bijdrage aan leveren. At IPCO Power, our water fuel emulsion system is founded on our proprietary fuel homogenizer, a critical component of our product lineup. Our rotor-stator homogenizers are versatile across various fuels, featuring a high-speed inner rotor and a fixed outer stator within a homogenization chamber. This setup subjects fuel to intense mechanical forces and cavitation, resulting in a uniform fuel mixture. The outcome? Significantly enhanced combustion efficiency for both marine and land-based power systems. 🌊⚡ Optimizing Fuel Efficiency & Reducing Environmental Impact with Sludge Reduction At IPCO Power, we recognize that not all fuel-saving initiatives on vessels impact the Specific Fuel Oil Consumption (SFOC). While SFOC is essential and measured through the fuel consumed by the engine in relation to the power produced, it doesn’t capture all efficiencies. Enhancing the usage of fuel from your bunker tank may not reflect in the SFOC but leads to significant fuel savings and reduces sludge disposal needs. 📏 In adherence to the stringent German Rule—derived from the German Wasserpolizei and widely accepted internationally—Hamburg port control mandates a minimum sludge production of 1.5% of fuel consumption. This ensures that sludge isn’t dumped into the sea and meets both local and global environmental standards. Although reducing sludge production might not improve SFOC directly, it significantly betters the overall fuel efficiency of vessels. IPCO Power’s FID Reducer is a game-changer in this field. Positioned before the centrifuge in your fuel processing system, our FID Reducer is designed to decrease the size of fuel droplets, enhancing the efficiency of centrifuges and filters. This not only cuts down sludge production but also extends the life and maintenance intervals of your equipment, boosting operational efficiency. 🔬 The efficiency gains also depend on the size of asphaltenes in the fuel, with larger asphaltenes translating to more significant fuel conversion—up to 10% of asphaltenes can be transformed into usable fuel, achieving savings of between 0.3% and 1.00%. Pictured here are the crates housing our advanced Water Fuel Emulsion (WFE) systems, ready for shipment to be installed aboard the HAL Koningsdam. 🌊 Unveiling the Innovation: Our WFE systems represent a breakthrough in emissions purification technology. Designed to create a stable water-in-fuel emulsion, these systems significantly improve the atomization and distribution of fuel within the combustion chamber. What does this mean? More efficient combustion, less fuel consumption, and a drastic reduction in NOx, HC, and PM emissions. 🌿 Environmental Impact: NOx Emissions Reduction: Each 1% of water added results in about a 1% decrease in NOx emissions, with the capability to incorporate up to 20% water. Fuel Efficiency: Achieve up to 2% fuel savings with 4-stroke engines and 3% with 2-stroke engines.
