The first International Precision Conference puts Dutch precision technology even further on the global map. The conference - held at Mikrocentrum, one day before the Precisiebeurs - focuses on innovation and cooperation within the high-tech ecosystem. The Netherlands plays a leading role in that theme. 🌱 Vertical farming is seen as a promising alternative to the increasing demand for food. It can shorten the supply chain and sustainably produce more food with fewer resources. 💡 Siemens is supporting the digitization of vertical farming with innovative technologies and collaborations. To strengthen these efforts, the Future Food team, including experts such as Rick Schneiders and Stefania Stoccuto, has been established. Stoccuto is one of the speakers at the Vertical Farming program at the AgriFood Innovation Event on December 3. Anyone who would have told her five years ago that she would now be CEO of a startup would have laughed at her. “No way I was going to do that. Around me, I saw people working day and night.” Now, she is CEO of ANTENNEX, the only company in the world that can measure advanced antennas so quickly and accurately. 🚀 While Europe’s startup scene is thriving — more startups were created in the Old Continent than in the US for five years in a row–fragmentation constrains its ability to establish growing companies. 🤝🏻 For this reason, a group of European startup founders and investors launched EU Inc, calling for establishing a new legal entity (a 28th regime) with uniform regulations for European startups to operate within the EU.
